Colleen has been very helpful and patient with assisting me fitting a harness or wheelchair for my senior pug. UPDATE: Never found a solution that worked for my pug with neuropathy. However, Walkin' Pets was helpful with returns (even though they do charge you for shipping back).

Purchased the quad wheelchair for my 11 year old Doberman who has bad hocks and arthritis. She was scared to death of it at first. I think one reason was she hates to ride in the car and I think that had something to do with it. Also she walked off a leash and was free to roam for the most part. She felt boxed in and hated the noise the front wheels made when it moves. After 2 weeks, she finally walks good in it now. I put wheelchair arm cushions around the sides of it so the aluminum rails did not touch her sides and it help with the noise and the rails are now cushioned. MUCH better for her. Still working with her daily and each day is getting better. So my goal is to have her totally trained in it within 2 more weeks. I see reviews where some does just take to it with no problem but that was not the case for my dog. I want to encourage anyone to take their time training their dog in it and work a little every day. Also, my dog is still able to walk without the walker but I did not want to wait to train her in it until she could hardly walk. This way it was easier to train her and help her arthritis pain and keeps her from falling when she stumbles.

Your wheelchair is great! Easy to assemble, Great video help. Lady is a 55lb "leopard" shepherd who was abandoned near our home. She was days of dying when we found her. 12 years later, she's a healthy, happy member of our TNR family, but she's always had back problems from her experience as a young dog. About 2 weeks ago, she couldn't get her back legs to move. The vet ER fit her with a lift harness so we could see if we could get her back legs to respond. She is so healthy despite her back, the thought of euthanasia was devastating. One week after we got her wheelchair, she uses it about once a day for 5 minutes. Each time she uses it, she uses her back legs a little more. It definitely exercises her back legs better than the lift harness on a more stable platform. Thank you so much!
