Tex is a 7 1/2 yr old, 73 lb. German Shepard with hip dysplasia that was diagnosed when he was 2. Over the last 3 months, we noticed his backside “giving out” more and more. Then he started falling. X-rays showed arthritis and “something else” going on with his spine. We decided wheels would benefit him (& us!). We ordered Walkin’ Pets. They arrived within a week and are Very sturdy! Tex took to them so quickly that we have a hard time keeping up. He runs with his two “sisters” and goes through the woods with vigor! If you want to give your “child” a second chance for enjoying the outdoors, Walk-in’ Pets is the way to go!

My 7 year old dachshund has early onset of ivdd. I bought this vest to help protect his back. I even told his vet about it and they said they would be recommending this to their other patients with similar conditions. This vest helps keep the back straight and protected. And it limits him jumping on and off the couch with could injure him severely. Now he uses his steps, which is what we need him to do so that he doesn’t injure his back to the point of losing feeling and function in his back legs. This product is easy to use, comfortable for my dog and very affordable. Thank you for all you do at handicapped pets!

I received a rear harness instead of front harness. I called and they sent the correct harness next day! After seeing your dog struggle, you can't wait to get items to alleviate their struggles. Also, don't wait to get the Walkin Wheels. My German Shepherd is 13-14 years old and her (hind end weakness) progression was rapid. I wish I had gotten it sooner.

The entire process was very good. Finding a good fit for our cat and color options was easy. Assembly was a bit difficult at first but we got there. It comes with lots of parts to fine tune the wheel chair. As the book says this process of putting a injured or healing pet into the chair will not be immediate. This will take time and resluts will nit be right away. This is no fault of the chair just slowly getting our cat used to a harness and wheels will take a bit of time. Love the option of this device as we were using a hip support harness to duck walk with our cat around the house this will be better once she gets used to the set up which can take a long while and to not get discouraged.
