I am also a pet sitter and need someone to watch or walk my dog and so I’ve used Wags a few times. My last experience was a little rough when I asked for the same walker each visit for a 2 week time period. There were several mid-starts and issues with the app and walkers canceling arriving late or double booked.

I couldn’t be more pleased with this service. My walker has been consistent, very professional, and extremely thorough. I love the app capabilities which include the real time map of the walk, ability to pre-pay credits, receive videos and pics, and the report card. Simply awesome!!

Love Wag. Each walker seems to enjoy spending time with our GSD, Max and he loves the walks!! Really convenience with the lockbox too.

UPDATE: We've recently had multiple instances where the walker did not appear for our walk and did not contact us. Instead of contacting us in advance, the application automatically rescheduled us with a new walker at a later time (i.e. two hours later). We didn't have a chance to approve the walker or speak with them, and no one from Wag ever reached out to us. Each time I spent multiple hours getting customer service to respond and update me. During one call, an employee admitted that Wag invites this problem: there is no penalty to a walker for a no-show (not even a dock to the star-rating system). Prolific walkers just overschedule themselves and don't show up. So be very wary of new walkers that have 600+ walks. We've quit the application and are moving to Rover full-time. That application allows us to communicate directly with walkers and schedule the ones we want (rather than using a bullpen-like system Wag favors). In short, Wag has multiple fundamental problems in its actual business plan: -- First, it matches walkers and clients the same way a rideshare application does. That increases efficiency but not doesn't allow trust to build between walkers and clients (critical, in my mind). Rover, in contrast, takes an approach more like AirBNB, where there is the opportunity for communication between the parties. -- Second, the lack of penalty to no-show walkers invites moral hazard. [PRIOR REVIEW] Great service, little buggy app. We use Wag multiple times per week to schedule a dog walker. Wag does a great job of matching us with walkers, who are extremely professional and communicative with us. At times the company rolls out updates that are a little buggy. For example, we try to use the recurring booking feature (book a person for a certain date and time each week), but you cannot tailor that feature for weeks you're out of town and don't need a walker. Similarly, if Wag is having trouble finding you a walker, you cannot easily edit the time to see if there's more availability. In sum, I think there's are better walking apps on the market (e.g., Rover), but Wag is price-competitive and has a team of great walkers.
