Vultr can not be trusted with your data the support is bad and will lock you out of your server and account while allowing others to use your server, while pretending to help resolve the issue, Wanting payments for a non-functional site for you!

I recently tried to purchase a server for hosting my new AI algorithm. I decided to go with the cheapest 25$ option. I paid 30$ to be safe and decided to go for it. When I clicked deploy, a message popped up saying I needed atleast 50$ to deploy a server. Naturally, I contacted their support team via ticket and asked for a refund and explained my problem. They told me I had to go put more money into my account and completely dodged any idea of a refund. I told them that you they mislead me with no label anywhere about this 50$ minimum (you can look if you like). My account was suspended and funds were thus locked. Leaving me feeling scammed and angry at this company UPDATE: I now have 2 new charges on my account that I no longer recongise after my account was closed. VULTR WILL SELL YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO

No support. They have option for ticket but when you click on it, it says that they are fully self service system and can't help you.

I got some troubles with my bank and my Vultr services were about to being deleted for not making a payment (for two months overdue). I asked them to keep my account suspended but to please avoid deleting my hosting data and they instantly replied me and activated my account after giving me a new deletion schedule for two weeks after the original date.

we have over 100 instances with Vultr and in the last year they have been abysmal in everything literally every instance regardless of OS will hang once a week their support is a joke, no phone number, no confidence in what they do they push all changes to production without testing, YOLO! after every catastrophic failure you can bet another glitch is coming because it's how they roll eg. they fix a big outage and then another outage is on the way because someone there decides to test something else if you want to develop an aneurysm join Vultr, I can't be more serious running production workloads on Vultr is the definition of lunacy

The first red flag is the company name: Vultr. Sounds like vulture, right? The mere name of the company, combined with its alarmingly low score on Trustpilot, should convince you to seek out a different service provider. However, if you're the kind of person who's perfectly content sleeping in a motel room with a giant pool of blood staining the bedsheets, then Vultr might be the perfect fit for you. There are numerous red flags, in fact, more red flags than there were during the Cold War in the USSR. Here are a few that come to mind: "Negative Balance," which they refer to as "what you owe us" An auto-charge mechanic that's turned on by default, potentially financially ruining you if you forget about an instance or lose internet access A no-refund policy, even regarding unused funds An obscure secondary quota system And many more for you to discover! The truly disheartening aspect is that beneath all this lies a potentially good product, albeit hidden deep within.
