Terrible people and company, don’t buy from these crooks! Kit never arrived, now 14 days after order, and they are refusing to process a refund for a product never received and a test they never even ran. Had to file a dispute with my credit card company. What a terrible company!

Don't do it
Don't do it! I ordered saliva kit for Corona virus from them because I heard the saliva kit was more accurate. Ordered my kit and received it. The instructions were good and it was easy. Sent it off and waited 3 days and got my results as inconclusive. We recommend you get tested again. There could be many reasons for this. A faulty kit or user error. All you do is spit into a tube. It isn't hard so my guess it was a faulty kit. I wrote an email to them and got the same canned response as in the original email. They never even offered to send me another kit. So I went and got tested and I did have it, but wasted a little over a week dealing with this poor excuse for a company. If you just want to lighten your wallet $120 then by all means order from them.

The reports provided me the good amount of guidance.
The report I got a good amount of very helpful reports.
It gives me some guidance of knowing what helps me and what doesn’t benefit my mind and body. Now I’m going to start on working on eliminating the food did not help my body. This is a great start in the right guidance. I had not used the counselor’s help yet. Will get to that soon. Hope they will provide me one. 🤞 if I’m satisfied with the service that satisfies my needs. Then they will earn the fifth star.

Absolutely Disappointing
Would not recommend this at all. I’m am very aware of my ancestry and can trace both my mom and dads family line back to 1066AD. I know my blood and my parents took the National Geographic blood tests that are extremely accurate. I got this test because dietary part of it, but looked at my ancestry to see what I got from my mom and what I got from my dad. It showed I was 99% British >1% South American >1% Pacific Islander. First of all, this is extremely broad, it doesn’t pinpoint any specific areas. Secondly, I know for a fact I’m not South American or Pacific Islander. Thirdly, I’m only half white. My mom has zero British blood in her. She is mostly Turkish, Armenian, and Iranian. Nothing from my mother showed up at all. Not even less than 1 percent. Nothing. You might say, or you’re adopted. I look exactly like my mother. Also all the health information was just parroted back from the questionnaire you have to take. Absolutely disappointing.

Hello Adrienne,
We at Vitagene are sorry to see you are unhappy with the autosomal DNA reports you were provided and wanted to reach out to provide you with more information about how the complementary Ancestry Report that we gift people who purchase our Health Test, works. Our ancestry report, reports on the industry standard for non-genealogy based ancestry reports by splitting the planet into 24 regions going back 1,000 years which might be why the report is reporting things that are different from what recent ancestors and living revives have verbally reported. We give you a percentage breakdown of what ancestral DNA you inherited from those regions and what countries each region includes. We do not report on geopolitical borders because over time countries change their names, borders, etc and that man made information is not recorded in your DNA. If you have any other questions or concerns don't hesitate to ask. Please note that the questionnaire is not used in the anyway when reporting genetic traits or ancestry, it is only used in the diet report, exercise report and supplement report as there are things we can not detect with autosomal DNA testing like a peanut allergy or, if someone is a vegetarian.
You purchased health reporting from Vitagene instead of genealogy reporting but you can still receive a genealogy report from the raw DNA file Vitagene has provided for you if that is what you were expecting to receive. This can be obtained by uploading the file to a genealogy based company like MyHeritage.com. Feel free to ask for our help by emailing us at [email protected] if you have any questions or need any assistance. We will be happy to help you in any way that is possible.

I found the menu suggestions…
I found the menu suggestions nonsensical. They have us making an omelette out of 1/2 an egg. Yet in another recipe, they have an egg "scramble" with 2 1/2 eggs and 3 1/4 egg whites. In another recipe you use 1/4 tbsp of bell pepper. Yet another one for just 1/2 pound of pork loin, they have you eating 7 tsp of oregano and thyme.
It looks like they put a computer algorithm in charge of recipes and never bothered to examine the results. I asked for clarification on "Ask Jade" and got no response.
I feel like the whole thing is basically set up to get you on a monthly GNC "supplements" plan. The menu plan is cheap window dressing.

We are sorry that the food menu and supplement menu sections are not currently meeting your personal standards Lance. This is something we are currently working on updates for, one of the great things about Vitagene reports is that you will continue to receive free updates as genetic science evolves. A lot of the details in your report are in the Genetic Traits report where we show our work and report on the specific genetic SNP's found in your DNA sample that has led us to report what is being reported and even include links to the scientific studies that led us to what we reported. My name is Nate, I'm the Customer Success Manager here at Vitagene and I would be happy to help you personally. Please contact me at [email protected] and I will be happy to help you find answers to any questions you may still have about your personalized reports.
Best,

Good customer service
Good customer service. Decided to cancel the subscription and customer service was a great help with it. Even though their 3rd party didn't get the information correctly and still shipped again and charged again customer service worked quickly to keep the charge from occurring. The products are good, the site needs a little work. It allows you to somewhat customize your products but it seems to still have a few glitches in it to be worked out. Along with the fact you cant cancel your order from the site (or I could not find where to do so) and had to communicate with their top notch customer service.
