I took my 2018 Audi to Valvoline to get an oil change, it almost cost me my car. I have used this shop once before on my truck, and they seem to do a fair job, so I figured I let them do my car. They were very friendly and worked professionally. Everything seemed to be going as planned, and they finished up in about 15 minutes. As I pulled out of their parking lot, my car lurched a little bit and then would not pull forward. The RPMs would raise, but the car would not move. I turned it off and on, and everything seemed fine for about 30 seconds, and then the exact same thing happened, plus several of the warning lights on my dash came on. Well, it took 4-5 times of turning it off and on to do a U-turn and pull back into their parking lot. Now the car was also smoking badly. I got the gentleman who worked on my car, who turned out to be the manager. He came out to look at the car, then left and sent another person. That technician opened the hood (I noticed they had totally forgotten to reinstall my engine cover. This has nothing to do with the engine issues my car was having, as it is strictly decorative, but it further goes to show the level of service). The technician looked around the engine and said, "I don't see anything wrong." I said, "Well, it doesn't run, and there are a ton of warning lights on." He plugged in his computer to my car, looked at the screen, and said, "This has nothing to do with us; we only put oil in it. This is a known issue with this car". Well, I didn't want to fight with these guys, so I called a tow truck and had the car taken to the Audi dealer, where I found out... They NEVER drained the old oil. They drained the transmission fluid by accident. Then they added 6 liters of new oil to the already full engine and gave me my car with no transmission fluid and double oil. I ended up talking to their corporate offices, who had the store manager call me, at which point he told me, "We don't really mess with Audi's that much!". This information would have been useful when I pulled in. Audi was able to repair the car, and Valvoline paid most of the bills, but it was a HUGE pain that Valvoline did not care about at all. If you choose to go here, make sure they "Mess with your type of car" before they get started.

Deny, deny, deny ! That's what this Valvoline oil change shop on 14th Street in Bentonville will do if they ever damage your car. Their tech spilled oil all over my BMW's engine while filling and even put the filter on wrong. Oil was gushing from the filter and I had to bring it back 2 days later to replace it after I saw oil all over my driveway. Now my belts are squeaking and the service manager refuses to replace it. He insists that the squeaky is coming from somewhere else and Valvoline had nothing to do with it. For my car, it was just the belts, but for future customers, it may be a loose plug they did not tighten or something else that will damage the engine even more. Don't ever go to this place ! I just had the pulleys and belts replaced a year ago so I know it's not that and the squeaking was not there until Valvoline spilled oil all over my engine. Regardless of the facts, the store manager denies any liability. For their part, they did try to spray belt cleaner on it to see if it will clear the squeaking, but it made it worse. The belt cleaner spread the oil even further and now the car sounds like it's going to fall apart. Even after his own technician witnessed the squeaking getting worse after the belt cleaner was sprayed, the store manager still insists it's coming from somewhere else and it's not Valvoline's fault. I had to rinse the belt cleaner off with soap and water myself to get rid of some of the squeaking but it's still there.

An employee at 8611 W New Harmony Trail, Tomball, TX 77375, United States location decided to steal my $180 pair of sunglasses. He was the only one in my car during the State inspection. Will never use this company again!! Will spread the word what kind of people they hire.

They are very professional and fast. But unless you don't care about your money I would not recommend it. Didn't look at my receipt until I seen the receipt email they sent. I didn't realize the cabin air filter they installed was $59.99 and that doesn't include the labor for installation. I just figured they wouldn't be to far over retail, boy was I wrong. It averages about $10 at most auto parts stores. That's one hell of a mark-up. 3 filters and synthetic oil change cost $230. Just did the same to my other car myself for $90.

They Cracked my oil filter housing treated me like I was bothering them when they finally showed at my house 3 hours late they said they could see it leaking from the housing later that day they said it could have been cracked lots of ways and they would not be taking care of the problem they caused. Please never use this place or products Chris Galloway

Valvaline off of 40 highway is always extremely slow. I sat in line two for 17 mins. They got done with the car ahead of me and then a guy asked me to bk out and while places w the car next to me because they pulled in before me. They appeared over staff but still can’t manage to get you in and out at a decent time. Most of the workers are just standing around. I backed out and left. I found a jiffy lube in lees summit where I got in and out

3464 Midway Dr. San Diego, CA 92110 (619) 226-4111 I had been to another location (mission gorge, san diego) and they did my oil change just fine. They struggled with the drain cap coming off and it sounded like they were literally tearing up the underside of my car. I had been getting oil changes before at Midas and they never said anything about the cap going bad and needing to replace it. At first I thought they were just being kind, because they claimed "we replaced it for free." Knowing what I know now about the scam I experienced at another location, I question if they didnt do damage or played the "we'll help you now so you'll trust us when we con you later game." However, whatever it was, it does not take away the scam they 100% pulled on me TWICE. AND BOY DID THAT JERK AT THE MIDWAY LOCATION GO ALL IN TO THE SCAM. The scam? Telling me my coolant was low and they could top it off for $5. Then they used a generic solid bottle with no brand logos to "refill" my fluid. Because it was a dark solid blue bottle (kind of like a gas can size) you CANT SEE if anything is really pouring out. And these kids make sure they're watching you to see if you're watching them. Bottom line is they are not topping off fluids and you weren't low in the first place. So, here's how I know they're scamming folks to get "upsales:" I was driving for Uber when I took the car in. That means only 3 weeks till the next oil change. Took it in and wouldnt you know "you are low on coolant." They must have forgot I was just "topped off" three weeks ago... Well, that's funny, I was literally just here and I have no leaks in my driveway to already be low again. I started asking all kinds of questions. Kid was getting nervous! So I said would my under shield (that protects my belts, etc) stop it from leaking onto my driveway? Y'all... you won't believe this kid had the guts to say "that panel is sort of absorbant so it's possible." When I wasn't buying that, he later comes to me (after disappearing momentarily) and tries to drive the LIE in to seal the deal by saying "yeah there's a good leak already it's leaking all over the floor down there." He proceeds to take a photo and show me on his phone the "leak" under my car... of course they don't have me get out of the car and witness this leak for myself. While I stayed quiet, it's evident he could see I was not buying what I was being sold. He then proceeds to make a big deal about making sure I see he puts notes in my record explaning this imaginary leak to either cover his own bottom or convince others at VIO Change to continue the scam (or both). This jerk even tells me "I recommend you take the car in to have the leak looked at." And you know what? I did JUST THAT just to catch them at their lie. I paid the dealership almost $200 and not one person at dealership mentioned any leak. Which they would... you know why I know they would? Because the amount of coolant on that pit floor was so much it means my car would have drained coolant within an hour (two max!)! It was SO MUCH. THEY LITERALLY POURED COOLANT ON FLOOR AND TOLD ME IT WAS A LEAK TO CON ME OUT OF $ AND GET AN UPSALE! The whole time they made these claims, the gague on my vehicle for temp never fluctuated by a fraction for weeks before, diring, after, or to this day! This happened either late June or early July and to this day not one drip of fluid under my car in driveway. Now I can never go to a VIO Change again. Valvoline could literally write me a check for the $10 plus tax they conned me out of and it still would not make up for the time I was without my car missing work (the dealership had my car almost a week and I make $250 to $450 a day!) while it was at the dealership or the $185 I spent to have my car looked at, to never be told of a leak, nor fix my trust with their service stations. I am beyond livid with this company. I will never buy Valvoline ANYTHING again.
