DO NOT ORDER unless you are willing to wait months. Order placed 11/19 with a delivery date of 12/17. They send a manual on how to take measurements which is neat. We obtained them and confirmed our approval to release to production. Last week of December we check in for ETA it was a miscommunication on their end they were waiting on our approval. This was ok we wanted everything to be 100%. Ordered was released and arrived 2/10 with NO CLEAR COAT after we paid $50 per tread. It was shipped back and we are still waiting. We are now in April still waiting for out November order talk about frustration.

I was skeptical at first, thinking this process would be too daunting for an amateur DIY guy like myself. I contacted Jayson At view rail and he was exceptional at answering any questions i had in regards to the process of measuring, ordering, the number of components I would need, and how to install the system. I started with a glass rail system for some stairs that go up to a bonus room. The process was straight forward and it turned out beautifully. I then ordered a cable tale system for back porch that overload lake. This process was a little more difficult because I mounted it to concrete and the ends butted up to walls and posts. I ended up securing the posts and the rail to long 2x6 boards at the exact spots of the concrete anchors so I could secure the ends. I left the cables loose and removed the railing system from the boards and placed them on the concrete anchors. I then tightened the cables and it worked out perfectly. If it wasn’t for the input from Jayson I never would have purchased the system. My experience with View Rail was exceptional and I would highly recommend them for any railing system you might need.

We installed the Viewrail system on an oceanfront home on Folly Beach. We immediately noticed design flaws and the system they provided did not work with hollow porch columns. We also noted that pieces of stainless that were welded immediately began to corridor. The weld caused the finish to be compromised. A viewrail representative performed the “design” and takeoffs for our system which we ultimately had to replace to keep our client happy and provide a quality cable rail system. One of my emails with Len Morris is below followed by his final response on the matter : “ Len, We never received the new wood angle insert. You said you would give us all these new fittings for this job. We've already spent over $3000 in trying to retrofit and make repairs and improvements to make the Viewrail system work and not fail. This is now in the past and we are moving on to another cable rail system. We are in the process of replacing the entire Viewrail system on the back of the house with another cable rail system that we've used before. Being a rental house, guests place their foot on the cable rail and it is at that point that your system fails very easily. Due to the last 10 months of maintenance in having to revisit the jobsite to retighten and repair the Viewrail system, we and our client deemed it best to go ahead and remove Viewrail and install another product to avoid another year of the same. Our cost to do this is $4000 in materials (we are able to reuse the SS cable itself) and $3500 in labor. That is $7500 that we are coming out of pocket to make our client happy because of the poor performance of the Viewrail system. I'd like for you to share in the responsibility here for the lack of performance of Viewrail. If you split the cost with us ($3750) then we will feel that you've done your part. Please let me know what you are willing to do to help with this. Thank you, ” Len’s response: “ I'm sorry that you are unhappy. I can do what we have agreed to do in our warranty. Removing Viewrail and replacing it with another product is not covered under warranty.” We will never use any of their products and do not recommend them because of their poor service and unwillingness to help correct mistakes.

If you are considering Viewrail products for your home, I strongly recommend the company and its employees. The product is high quality and the employees are customer-focused. I really cannot say enough about the service I received. I don’t do online recommendations, but the service was so good I have to mention it. My service team ensured we had the right gauge stainless steel for our home near salt water, double checked our measurements, saved us money when they did not have to, and were always responsive. My contractor was also impressed with parts, labeling, and overall ease of installation. Our project included 5 condos installing glass/stainless steel outdoor deck railings in the Bay Area. Thanks again Viewrail for all your help and great product.

The best company I have dealt with in years. The product is amazing and the customer support is second to none. If your planning on doing a glass job, there is no better company than Viewrail.

Perfect experience. Minor hiccup but was resolved the same day. This is the kind of service I give my customers and expect from a great company. I will definitely will be using them again!!

Wonderful product easy to install one hiccup on the design may be mostly my error for not pointing out there were columns that the rail needed to pass thru
