It was awful. I was trying to help my 93 y/o parents account set up. A nightmare. I could not even do it. There is no way they could have done it. The CHAT rep was helpful, but still could not fix it. I had to wait 24 hours. It should be this hard to get your own money.

I completely dislike the whole reimbursement process. It takes to long to receive what's supposed to be mine.

I was told inaccurate information about what you have to get through Via to qualify for Lilly reimbursement. It is either, medigap/plan G or drug. Representative said both. I copied and pasted from another area on the webpage and she said that is correct. You qualify because you have drug through Via.

So far not great. Had issues with website that took 4 calls and 3 help desk tickets to resolve. Taking forever to get reimbursed for premium payment. Contacted Kevin the head of via benefits, no response from him 🤔

Major problem with Via Benefits failure to send my Medicare supplement plan change to the Insurance company. Many hours on the phone with no resolution. They keep saying it was sent but the carrier kept saying it was not received. It would have been a simple thing to resend the application but they would not even consider that. Just keep saying it was sent. But it wasn't. Totally frustrating issue that they did not resolve. I did the enrollment myself directly with the carrier. I want to send them a complaint but cannot fine an email address.

Turned 65 in July. Had about 20 options for Medical Advantage insurance with varying degrees of Co-pays/Maximum Out of Pocket/Pharmacy Coverage/PCP in-network etc. Made my selection online and everything appeared to go well. Since then, PCP and 90% of their doctors left the practice. Go to look for new insurance, and VIA Benefits only had one (1) option and they did NOT have my new PCP. WTF! Isn't the whole point is to show insurance options with my new PCP? One listing is NOT an option! I hope the Union reevaluates its association with Via Benefits.

They left me a message about an issue that requires my attention. I tried calling back after about 10 minutes and was told a 2 hour wait! Chat function showed 2 1/2 hours. It ended up being a 50 min wait. I'm giving a 2 instead of a 1 becuase the people that I have talked to (with one exception) have been pretty good. They seem to have fixed the isse of constantly dropping the call.

I have almost $20,000 in my account. I never attempted to get reimbursed for out of pocket medical or dental expenses until recently so I thought this should be a piece of cake. Not so. After reviewing the process, I obtained the required information from my dentist and submitted my requests, via downloading, and was denied for several. What??? So I reviewed the submissions and resubmitted. Again denied so I sent a letter of explanation and the receipts with the required information. DENIED AGAIN! What the heck??? This is MY MONEY and I should have access to it when substantiating the righteousness of the reimbursement. I see I am one of many who have had the same problem and will report this to UC Retirement Board.
