Registration process is a mess. After filling out the entire page correctly, the process fails to advance. Called the 800 number and agent then requires you to orally go through the entire registration process again. Completed registration and call was dropped by agent. No call back from agent even though she had my mobile number. Call to Via required to restart entire process. I will look for other providers

I have been forced to use this company through my employer. In previous years, I have had some challenges but this past year's experience has led me to write this unfavorable review. Firstly, I had Lasik surgery in December of 2025. Prior to the surgery, I reached out and asked if I would be able to use my HSA for my surgery. They said yes. They did not say anything about my limited liability plan or how I would need to submit my claim. Fast forward to January 2026. I submitted my payments for my Lasik and it was denied. I asked why and they said I needed to provide qualifying information which I did REPEATEDLY!!!! Please know, I also asked them to stop closing my tickets until I agreed the problem was resolved but they ignored me and continued to close my tickets. This went on for 8 months!!!! I finally called them (something I don't recommend) and the female associate I spoke with was one of the most rude, condescending people I have ever spoke with. She seemed personally offended that I didn't somehow "know" what I was supposed to do. She blamed me and then my employer. She offered no solution for my problem and I now have to pay close to $1000 out of pocket for my HSA because NO ONE WITH THIS COMPANY WOULD GIVE ME INSTRUCTIONS ON WHAT TO DO TO GET MY CLAIM PROCESSED. I will NEVER use this company again. I have already switched my insurance during open enrollment so I never have to deal with them again. I unfortunately, can't use an HSA anymore because I don't want to ever give my business to VIA again.

Wish I could give it 0 stars. Have to jump through hoops to get reimbursement approved then takes weeks to get money. Everyone you talk yo on the phone gives a different answer, and surprisingly all answers are incorrect. Cumbersome and incompetent.

This is my first experience with Viabenefits and I wish it would be my last. Talk about dotting your i's and crossing your t's. They only cover dental and vision until a person on the meets the $1,700 IRS limit, and then you have to validate by uploading an E.O.B. from your carrier for each person covered. I don't know how that is going to work out yet, because I just uploaded the E.O.B's. I have procrastinated because their whole process is not user friendly. Let's talk about charges. It doesn't matter that the charge is from the dentist or the eye doctor you will need to submit every, and I do mean every single receipt. I never had to do this with other FSA accounts. I have yet to experience the medical, but I'm not looking forward to it. I believe I will have to pay out of pocket then try to collect what I paid out from Viabenefits. Did I mention they are great at taking your money, but it's like pulling teeth to pay it out. Plus, if you don't act fast enough they lock your card. Their website and app are not intuitive, I have to call all the time. I will admit there staff seems friendly and helpful within the bounds Viabenefits procedural policies. I personally have not waited on hold very long, but I always call first thing in the morning and push enough 0's to be connected to an agent.

Your website says that loading an EOB for a reimbursement is all that is necessary as the system willl fill out the necessary information. I uploaded an EOB and the web site asjed me to fill in all the data manually. Fix the site. Also, the reimburement page has an incorrect date for 2025 expenses./

I am experiencing an issue with receiving my reimbursement check from VIA BENEFITS. I spoke with Sophia and John at VIA BENEFITS on August 19th regarding my reimbursement. The reimbursement request forms were sent on July 27th to VIA BENEFITS, PO BOX 981156, EL PASO, TX 79998-1156. Both Sophia and John indicated that there is an incorrect number associated with my direct deposit; however, I do not use direct deposit and requested to receive my reimbursement by mail. Neither representative seemed to understand my situation. I am seeking clarification on when I can expect my reimbursement check. I hope that both calls were recorded, as there seems to be a need for further training.

I've been with via benefits since 1998 for my flex spending. Every year there's an issue with every reimbursement I do. Every year, it takes them months to get your transaction done. In Dec, I was notified that my Aetna plan was changing, in order to keep the flex spending, I have to do my insurance through via benefits. They put me in another defunct plan & I lost coverage for a month, which Medicade took over for the month, however my flex spending plan was prorated due to that month & now I lost that money for the year. I've called over 6 times since January & now in August I'm being told, naturally, there's nothing they can do & this year I lose that money, every person I spoke to told me this was gonna be handled. Well they handled it like everything else by not handling it.

My biggest problem is with the website. It doesn't always work properly and there is no human being that is available to assist you. Not all retirees are computer literate and it is frustrating when you are lost in trying to do the simplest thing. Electronics are wonderful IF THEY WORK!!
