Web site not recognizing my credentials I've used for years. Tried 'reset password' and was informed it would be sent to me by SNAIL MAIL! Called Verizon support, and after navigating through myriad menus and bots I was never able to talk to a human. To remedy the credentials problem the bot wanted to reboot my whole Verizon system. This is unacceptable. Have been contemplating cutting the cable, and this may be the straw that breaks the camel's back,

Verizon is a Nightmare
Service is spotty, prices keep going up, and customer support is no help. Every time I call, I just get more frustrated. Definitely looking for a new provider.

They always want to upsell you a new plan or product
Have mobile and tv/internet with Verizon. Verizon for the home b/c the only other option is Spectrum and we've been warned about their service. Anyhow, we have intermittent failure issues with the internet all the time. When you contact Verizon, they want to upsell you a new bundle for more money, or sell you for $400 and extender, or have you rent an extender for $18 a month. We're stuck with it unless we switch to Spectrum. No issues with mobile, however, though it is expensive.

Antiquated, malfunctioning website
Verizon is a big name in the industry, but the service is anything but. For a reputable TECHNOLOGY company, they do a horrible job of having an infrastructure setup for long time customers having an older phone. They actually sent me a text saying that I would only receive 4G when it's not too busy, and would receive 3G the rest of the time. They did something that resulted in me being no longer able to use my phone for a hotspot. Consistently takes an unusually long time to receive an sms message, let a lone an mms message. I am getting dropped more frequently. All of the above likely due to my comment about them delegating older phones that long time customers may have, to the back of the bandwidth line. On top of all that, their website looks like something from the 1990's, and so many bugs and malfunctions with the functionality of it. It's as if they have no QA department that tests it before deploying it to live production. All that, and they are still the most expensive cell service provider.
To be fair, there coverage is still one of the best if not the best of all providers, and their customer service, although imperfect, I have never had a major problem with.

frustrated
customer service seems to have forgotten those two very words:
customer and service. website is a joke any time there is an issue in my account and don't bother trying the service dept via phone unless you have an hour or so to waste. online chat service is better but always seems to take way too long, 30-45 min, to solve simple issues.

Not willing to keep customer
Their customer service reps are really not that smart. In one conversation I repeated myself 8 times before he understood my questions. Their Fios TV service are getting worse by the day. They charge 3 times the amount for the Digital Voice, which you can, if you shop around for, can get cheaper. Overall if you chose to cut cable, Verizon will not be able to negotiate with the customer.
