I have no idea how they win Customer Service awards. Verizon Business is the absolute worst. I've wasted nearly 5hrs over two months attempting to fix a billing error. Not resolved and I'm still chatting with them. No response. The worst.

1-800-VERIZON is an AI hellscape
I tried to switch to Verizon from my current internet and cell services, but their MAIN PHONE NUMBER, where established and NEW customers are supposed to call for all sorts of issues get ensnared in a busted AI maze that is almost impossible to escape. The AI voice kept asking me for my phone number on file and my account number, and I kept saying I don't have one because I'm not a customer yet. It kept saying it was no problem and those details could be tracked down later (even though they don't exist) but then it kept going back to asking me for my customer identification details. After about seven or eight goes at this and my frustration building, it finally said it would connect me to an AUTOMATED system to further handle my request, but then a voice came on that sounded more like a human, so I asked sheepishly, "Are you a human?" To which the answer was, "Yes, I am a human REPRESENTATURE," and I responded, "Uhhh, yeah, never mind, thanks," and hung up. The "human" tried to call me back but I dropped the call.
I saw on Reddit that support reps in foreign countries are being made to use AI voice changers to make them "more understandable" to American customers, and if that's what I encountered here, it ain't working and in fact it gives me the creeps. It's also quite literally dehumanizing to do that to people you're using because they're cheaper for your insatiable bottom line.
WHY WHY WHY would you make your main 800 number such a pile of unusable trash? I know one thing now, I will avoid Verizon like the plague and stick with my current service providers who are gouging me in spite of -- because of? -- being a customer of many, many years.
Life is hard, expensive, and demoralizing enough as it is, and tech billionaires wonder why the world (well, maybe not their self-interested shareholders) hate them and everything they stand for. Breaking every aspect of life to squeeze out more pennies from every dollar is a business model only very sick, depraved goons can justify. Nice job, Verizon -- 4-year lock customer LOST.

0 Customer service
0 Customer service, spent hours on phone trying to resolve an issue for 2 months now, no resolution. Hold time each call has 1 hour + wait time. This is one terrible company.

Promised $402.94 credit never posted, missed callbacks
15-year Verizon customer, and this is how they treat loyalty. Before a trip to Poland, I asked for TravelPass on my line. Verizon put it on the wrong line, then also charged me international pay-as-you-go fees on my phone, $402.94 in charges that were their mistake. A rep confirmed the full credit on September 13. It never posted. Instead I got past-due notices, a late fee, a reconnect fee, and a $940.42 bill. I've spent hours in chat with agents and supervisors since then. They promised me supervisor callbacks twice in one day, and nobody called. I had to file complaints with the FCC and BBB just to get attention. I'm now moving to another carrier. Avoid Verizon if you value your time.

As a company Verizon has gone downhill
As a company Verizon has gone downhill. You put a CEO in charge whose only agenda is to get stock up and costs down. I have to say this is not smart business. Verizon has laid off so many people that it is impossible to get good customer service or other issues. I have been with Verizon for a long time but I am going to start looking for other providers

Completely horrible experience
Completely horrible experience, I was offered a pay your phone promotion with them , where you receive a gift card to pay your balance with previous provider , I was never given that gift card months passed by of me waiting for it ,until it was sent to collections . They do not want to resolve anything because they need a detail receipt ( it is impossible to get knowing it was sent to collections they can only send you the complete balance ) knowing that after 9 months dealing with this they decided they can not do anything and left me out with a debt of 1000 dollars with collections, disgusted with the costumer service , promised to received call backs that I never did . Would be taking legal action against this .

I wish there was Zero stars
I wish there was Zero stars. Verizon has turned into a complete horrific and horrendous communication Avenue with any issue that needs to be addressed. Everything is virtual they have no idea how to fix things and they want to keep channeling you back to the same thing and then when that is not going well the send you to someone else. They can't figure anything out there's no one to talk to that's real. If you do get somebody which I haven't for weeks and weeks it is someone that you can't communicate with because of their accent from either the Philippines or Indonesia or wherever they are you just can't communicate with them. Verizon's survice has turned into complete dog crap. I've been in with them for 22 years and I know the difference from a good service company and a company that is falling into the virtual and the AI and unable to help their customers when needed.

After over almost two decades of…
After over almost two decades of business with Verizon I can no longer endorse them as the company they once were. After disconnecting my 5G Home Internet service, I returned the equipment and after a year still no credit.
Working with agents from their global affiliations is abysmal at best, with an ocean of tickets that have resolution times as long as the Resolute Desk in the Oval office. If you want a mediocre experience for a premium price you've found the right place. If you want a quality product for a fair price keep searching.
