I finally spoke with a real person who told me what I needed to be able to use my credit. She was patient and waited while I looked through my emails to find the information she needed to complete the transaction. She could definitely teach the other representatives a LOT of things about customer service! I'm leaving the single star because Verizon needs to better train their customer service reps, including those doing chats with customers. Updating the online software would also be a big plus.
I have been frustrated for months trying to use my $350 bring your phone credit. I tried to use it on my bill but I had recently paid the bill and I was told I couldn't use it that way, so I wanted to apply it to the amount due I had left on my device, but the agent couldn't help me with that request and apparently was unable to transfer me to someone who could help me. The online chat I am always directed to is useless, I need to talk to a real person. Customer service is not available 24/7 I guess. All I have wanted to do is use the credit. I brought 2 additional lines to Verizon one with a phone and the second bought a new iPhone and watch and I bought a watch at the same time. I wanted to pay off my phone sooner to get an upgrade, but now looking for another service may be a better idea.

DECEITFUL, Bait & Switch, USELESS customer service
DECEITFUL, BAIT AND SWITCH with THE WORST customer service. Every person says something different. You go with what someone tells you in the store, you get your bill, it is wrong you try to call the store but get the automated line, takes min 30 mins to get through, they either tell you one thing then it's not done, tell you to go to the store, the store tells you to call, each person tells you something contradictory to the last one, they say it's straightened out. My most recent call (I have now been to the store 4 times and 3 calls) they told me, no the correction you are saying the woman said was done was not done, is not possible to be done, go to the store, make them fix it, don't leave the store until they show you it is fixed on your bill. I don't even know where to start...we went with the Dec BOGO deal, they sent me home with a phone to activate, I was 12 hours without service, then the bill showed the phone was not free, that I owed over $700 for it, the $300 payment in store did not show up and was being charged for that. Went back to the store after not being able to get through on the phone, they said, oh you already got a phone free you want two free phones and said it was free like they'd said. The bill continues to not reflect that it is free, after a 45 min wait on another call in, she looks it up, says it does indeed qualify for the BOGO but I need to wait 1 to 2 billing cycles. Now the second billing cycle comes, still shows I owe payments on the phone. After a 30 min wait time to get on the phone, he says it is not listed as BOGO could never have been eligible for BOGO, the things the woman said was done on the last call is not in there or in the notes, and to go to the store and make them apply the BOGO, and to not leave the store until it shows up on my Verizon login. MEANWHILE, I have not been able to login to Verizon. I simply get the msg "I need help that does not require signing in bc my issue is with signing in, NONE of the links work, I keep getting "Sorry we are not able to process your request at this time." He says to unregister then reregister, but that also gives me the same unable to process your request. When you ask for password reset you get that msg. When you try and ask for help in the chat, you get the msg that you have to be logged in for help...even though the issue is with the login. I live in Hawaii, and customer service hours are mainland hours, so with long wait times and their hours, odds are low to get through. Also, the woman said the bill for both would be $150, last month is was over $300, this month is is over $200, they said you save $10 for autopay and paperless, but it keeps getting added back on, you set it up and it cancels it. ALSO, I am supposed to get free Hulu and Discovery but due to ongoing login issues can't get in to set that up with the second account (since we got two lines just bc of this BOGO deal), and it will probably expire before I can ever even get logged in. This has been a nightmare. DON'T USE VERIZON. Go elsewhere. I regret it...and sadly even attempting to fix it or get out of it continues to be unsolvable. ANY company at this point would be better than this. Deeply disappointed. I am so tired of telling my story over and over, having to re-explain, then explain what the last people have told us. It is exhausting and so far getting nowhere. AND costing way more. Don't believe their advertised prices.

STOP SENDING ME ADS IN THE MAIL!!!
STOP SENDING ME ADS IN THE MAIL!!!
I left four years ago because their coverage, cost, and customer service is horrible. They are a bunch of liars and sociopaths who run this company. I will not be back no matter how many ads you send me in the mail. I have requested they stop but they don't listen, they just pass the buck to another department. If you want to save paper, STOP SENDING ME ADS!!!!
Update: still sending me ads in the mail. STOP IT!

They get one star for the kind young…
Update: Time in store 3 hours 11 minutes.
No other rep came to assist me after my helper literally got off from work while I was waiting.
My last tech rep Brandon was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, kind, and quick.

They get one star for the kind young lady that helped me in store.
Besides the fact that my data doesnt work more often than not...
Spent three hours instore trying to get my phone replaced for a mic issue not due to phone damage.
Opted for a repair at no cost only to be told no repair location was within 50 miles. Offered mobile tech then informed none available in area.
Finally told I had to pay for a replacement since as stated above they have no capacity to access and engage their own protocol. I debated and askes for a supervisor abiut having to pay. After some additional ridiculous amount of hold time, I was finally promised a credit toward next bill. Not happy that Verizon would get to hold my money for 30 plus days.
After that the rep dropped the call while preparing to take my payment information. Texted to say she would call us back but never did.
Store rep made four attempts before getting someone to help us pickup where we left off. Transferred again and out on hold another 30 minutes.
Did I say I spent three hours in store?
Even the rep left because she got off work. I was left sitting with no assistance waiting for a fourth transfer.
A total nightmare.

The latest upgrade offer by verizon has…
The latest upgrade offer by verizon has been the worst experience I have ever had to endure with any company EVER! From misleading information from their reps, to outright lies from their reps. I don't care if they gave me a top of the line iPhone (which is what I upgraded to based on a $800 trade-in value for my old phone) for free, this experience (which has still not been completed) would still not be worth it. It has cost me hours of my life I will never get back due to the endless phone calls trying to resolve the problems that started immediately. I realize most people will not find this, nor will factor it in, but will have to learn the hard way because we all just want what we want and want to believe. Both my wife and I continue to have to call every month when our new bill from verizon shows up, and have to continue to fight to get them to put things the way things were promised. We have both had to learn the hard way just how poor verizon is. And this whole "you are not in a contract" selling point. There is more than one way to get you into a "contract". If you don't agree to an interest-free payment plan on your new phone (24 months at a minimum), then you don't get the offer of a high trade-in value of your old phone. One of the things the verizon reps will misrepresent with. Which simply means that you have to stay with verizon for another two years until your phone is paid off, even though you are not legally bound into a contract. But if you tap out early, then you are charged full price for your new phone and your trade-in value disappears. But good luck public: get that new latest and greatest iPhone 'cause it is sooo cool (extreme sarcasm)! You will be the latest envy of your friends with your new iPhone. Just don't do it with verizon. I have talked to 7 different verizon reps and this list I am sure, will continue to grow: Mary (Philippino-outsourced call center from what I can tell), Judy (another Phillipino call center moment) Zanetta, Victoria, Ron, Marcy, and last but not least, Joe. All this within the month of January of 2022. Since this review says it will send a copy to verizon, I will even include my order number for the world to see: 10313526, Location Code: P218101, Order Date: 12/28/2021 iPhone 13 Pro Max. Overall, one of the worst decisions I have made... but hey.. I am sure it happening to BOTH my wife and I (we have completely separate verizon accounts also) represent the exception rather than the rule.

Wasteful and careless.
Recently saw a commercial for 5g home internet. Sounded amazing. Anything to get away from Spectrum would be great. I received something in the mail on this service. I just called and was told it is not available in my area. I live in the Cincinnati Metro.. I was then told by the representative that it may have been available for me at one point but it must have been too much time.. the thing they sent me in the mail to my apartment was received this week. I really appreciate the complete waste of time and getting my hopes up for some bogus reasoning from the technician on the phone. They are alright with wasting their own money and time sending these notices about getting their service out when service is unavailable. Seems wasteful by all means and they managed to lose a potential customer in the process.
