Verizon Store, Kihei, Maui
Verizon Store, Kihei, Maui, Hawai’i I have had nothing but months and months of trouble after buying a new iPhone 13 at this store. Over 6 months! I purchased a new iPhone 13 pro max here on April 5, 2022. I turned in my iPhone 11 Pro Max as part of the deal. The employee who was helping me said there was only one phone left and because I was in a hurry I didn’t think about it. But the box had been opened. And there was something else wrong. They transferred over everything, but there was a problem with the SIM card. In short, it has been a complete NIGHTMARE. Lost calls, lost texts, and I run my company business off this line. They made some improvements. But it was never quite right. I decided to get a second line, a Maui 808 area code phone number. From that time, the problems increased. It turns out that my original phone number, a 510 area code, was never disconnected from the former iPhone 11. They can’t seem to do that. I have spent well over 8 documented hours on the phone with tech support and it is still not working. It became crucial when recently I was coming back into the country from working in Africa and had severe food poisoning on the plane. When I landed, my daughter could not reach me on either number. I had to go to the ER and we could not connect even after switching the phone on and off. I finally got a text out to her. The phone plan with data roaming cost $252.00 and did not work on either the 510 or 808 lines for most of the time I was away in Southern Africa and Egypt, 6 and 1/2 weeks. My other friends, who were using T-Mobile, had not only great service but it was FREE. Not to mention I heard that you get free Netflix and a year of AARP, if you’re in that age category. No, I don’t work at T-Mobile. But I’m going to get their service for sure. I spent another hour and a half on the phone two days ago, still trying to get the tech department to fix this, and they reassured me it would be handled. Yesterday they called and said “they were working on it”. By 8pm it wasn’t resolved, and I had 2 phone calls come in 6 hours earlier that I never got. The voicemails showed up on my phone, 6 hours late. So then I decided to try again. Last night I spent another hour and a half on the Verizon chat with another agent and after giving the IMEI and ICCID numbers for both lines again, she could not make it work and told me to go get a new SIM card at the Verizon store. WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL OF THIS? VERIZON! Apologies for the shouty caps, but really, you people at Verizon, YOU are responsible. And if I am going to get another SIM card, why not get it at T-Mobile? Better service, better prices, better international coverage (free!) and Netflix/AARP. Save your money and buy your phone and your plan in any other store and with any other company than Verizon. Just say NO to Verizon. No.
