No ballast replacement for tubes bought.

My first Verilux floor lamp is at least fifteen years old and is still on its first bulb. It's gone from being a couch lamp to an office lamp over the years. I purchased two additional (matching) off-white floor lamps for the family room about eight years ago. I wasn't as fond of the location of the switch and the composition of the plastic cover on them as the ones on my first lamp, but they both gave very good light. Since I purchased the brushed brass lamps, the off-white lamps have split up, one going to our son's room and the other to our spare room. The attractive brass lamps are now in the family room, flanking the couches for reading and other tasks that require better light than the regular lamps on the end tables could provide.

Our new lamp has arrived. We really like it and would recommend for anyone who needs good and natural light for reading or hobbies. It was easy to put together and will be enjoyed for many years to come.
