Insurance is one of those things we buy and hope to never use. I got mine because I travel with my bike and even locked up or in the hotel it could be stolen. We discussed what happened and what was covered. We settled the claim on the first call and I had a check shortly after. I looked into using my homeowners insure but the agent was clueless. They did pay out, but I took there word for stated value. I build my own bikes, for years. So is no receipt to speak of for bike. I paid for $3500, they reimbursed me for under $2500.
