We have nothing but praise for Vector's services.

I use Vector to protect my house and property from burglary and fire. They are always courteous and on time and have excellent employees. My only negative is that they charge more per month than other companies.

Thank you for your feedback. There are many choices when it comes to security and yes, some companies may charge lower fees. However, keep in mind things like the type of system you have, whether you have mobile services, or additional devices added to a security system such as lights, locks, and cameras can affect your monthly charges. At Vector Security, we add value by providing superior customer care (as you’ve experienced!) and one of the best warranties in the industry.

I don't have much basis for rating this service even though I have been a customer for three years. I have not had many false alarms, which is good. In the single experience that I had the notification call did not have a caller ID identifying Vector. Vector claims this practice is for safety in the event an intruder is actually in the house with the homeowner, which I understand. However, I which they offered the option to send a text to my cell phone to alert me. My call ended up going to voicemail and the voicemail was not picked up for several hours. Overall good service....I guess.

Thank you for the feedback. The safety and security of our customers is our number one priority. We are currently looking into communication options such as text and email alerts for non-priority alarms and plan to roll this feature out sometime in 2015.

No problem with ,my experience with Vector Security. However I have a couple of questions or comments: 1. Why is your monthly cost so much more expensive (25%+/-) than your major competitors? 2. If something goes wrong with the system, why is there a service charge for a service person to come and repair "your system".? It is not my system. It is "your System". If it does not work, you come and fix it. Free of charge!

Thank you for the feedback. Monthly charges for security systems will vary based on the type of system you have, whether you have mobile services to control your system from your phone, or additional devices are added to a security system such as lights, locks, and cameras. These are just a few items to keep in mind when comparing prices. We also provide one of the best service warranties in the industry. We are going to send your local branch a copy of this review and ask them to give to a call to discuss further. Have a great day!

The services are not bad, but numerous times the alarm has gone off due to defective sensors and no one called to check whether it was a break in or a false alarm. Secondly, your technicians have serviced the property several times over the last 18 months to fix numerous false alarms. Yet, the problem still persists. To get a technician to come back to service the defective sensors, we have to wait nearly two weeks! In the meantime, the alarm continues to go off in the middle of the night AND no one has called from your monitoring service. Your service used to be punctual and readily available. However, I believe that your company is over booked and unable to handle the volume of new work. I hope that this is a dip in your company and is not a prelude to service to come. I am not complaining, but since you asked for my review, here is my honest answer. I hope that this helps you to improve services.

Thank you for your valuable feedback. Vector Security uses what is called an “electronic verification” process. When a false alarm is triggered, we receive a signal that indicates no true emergency exists, therefore we do not dispatch help to your location. This process helps ensure emergency resources are reserved for true emergencies, reduces false alarm dispatches and saves valuable human and financial resources.

During the initial consultation, there was nothing mentioned about a contract. Now we have to continue paying them for 3 years even though we don't even use their extremely annoying alarm system which you cannot turn the volume off.

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear about your experience. Typically, our contracts run anywhere from 36-60 months depending on the services and equipment you receive. The agreement helps us offset our investment in the equipment we provide to you. Please contact your branch if you have further questions about your contract...they may also be able to help lower the volume on your control panel, depending on the model you have.

In our two years plus with Vector we have interacted with people from the company 3 or 4 times. At about a year we had some issues with the equipment. A technician came out, worked on the system, and we had not had any problems since then. Within the past two months we have had two incidents where the alarm was triggered. In both cases there was prompt telephone response from Vector personnel (in one case the police were dispatched). Both situations were because of "house sitters that we had employed". The actions of Vector personnel were just what we would have wanted.
