I purchased the Vantrue E1 Pro and its universal hardwire kit directly from Vantrue in June 2026. After approximately four months of use, the camera developed a physical defect, with the housing coming apart. Vantrue initially offered to replace the camera, but I was later told the E1 Pro had been discontinued and was no longer available. They ultimately agreed to refund the camera, which I appreciate. However, they refused to refund the $24.99 hardwire kit I purchased specifically for it. What made the experience more frustrating was that Vantrue emphasized that I wouldn’t need to ship the defective camera back, as though this were a special favor that should make the situation acceptable. While I appreciate not having to return a defective product, that doesn’t address the underlying problem: the camera failed after only four months, and Vantrue can no longer provide the original model as a replacement. I’m now left with an accessory purchased specifically for a camera that failed prematurely, and I’m expected to consider purchasing a different model I never intended to buy. I understand the hardwire kit itself isn’t defective, but I believe some flexibility and goodwill would have been reasonable under the circumstances. I’ve recommended Vantrue products to many close friends and family members in the past because I trusted the brand. I expected better product quality and a better warranty experience. Ultimately, Vantrue has lost a loyal customer over $25. Rather than make a small goodwill gesture that could have preserved my trust and future business, the company chose to stand firm over the cost of an accessory associated with a camera that failed prematurely. I appreciate the camera refund, but this experience has significantly damaged my confidence in Vantrue. I will not be purchasing its products moving forward, and I will no longer recommend the brand to friends and family. It’s disappointing that a company would risk losing a lifetime customer over such a small amount.

Will be returning, checkout made it seem like it came with a 256gb memory card, was shown in image but not included.

Ordered on Vantrue website. It said it would take 3-8 working days, so I thought great, I’m away for a couple of days, I’ll order it now and It’ll be there the day after I get back. No, I had a message to say it’ll be next day. Left a email to try and rearrange, got nothing. Seen on my security cam the driver left it on my doorstep in the rain and I’m not back until Monday afternoon. Hope it’s there when I get back.

No sim card for $400 camera. And 200$ installation so bad

1. No customer SERVICE. 2. Phone and dash cam doesn't connect at times. 3. Website SLOW! I will give you good ratings on clear screen at night. Very good.

not easy to set up

I own two Vantrue dashcams. The quality of the video is GREAT! There is an issue with connecting my cell phone to the LTE1 device I purchased and registered to work with my Nexus 2X. Ive paid for the subscription and used the Vantrue branded Sim card,,, it just does NOT work. Very frustrating.
