I'm sorry to hear about your experience. Our warehouse received a used book matching the rental title, which was processed and has since been re-rented. Unfortunately, we did not receive a brand-new textbook as described. However, a refund was issued for your rental return. We understand this is frustrating and truly regret any inconvenience. Hello Regina, while we do not have a call center to field customer questions, we did communicate through email and live chat. On January 14, 2025, we provided the rental return instructions; however, it appears the item was initially sent to the wrong address, which unfortunately delayed its return to the correct seller. As outlined in our rental policy, returns must be postmarked within 30 days of the order date. Because the return was ultimately received outside that window, it fell outside the terms of our policy. That said, we genuinely regret that this situation caused you frustration. Our goal is always to make the rental process smooth and transparent, and we apologize for this experience. Additionally, your return was initiated outside of our 30-day return window, which is why we weren’t able to honor the refund request under our current policy. That said, we absolutely understand how frustrating this must be. Once the book is returned to you, you’ll still have the option to either purchase it or send it back using the prepaid label we’ve provided. Hello Anna, I am sorry you were not happy with our rental return policy. The terms and conditions for rental returns are documented on our site. Your son was charged an extension fee for an additional 15 days. You have not been charged the buyout fee yet. When your son is able to retrieve the book from his dorm, he can reach out for the rental return instructions, and we will refund the buyout fee if assessed post-rental term once the book has been returned to the seller.
