This is a predatory company, Sales rep is a trained "CLOSER" they do not allow you time to price compare.they sign you up and install the very next day. Only to find out they are 60% higher than 90% of all other HVAC installers. A simple 3 ton system cost me $28,500 at 10% for 15 years that's a $54,000 purchase. When asked if they could lower their price to seniors, they laughed and said " you signed it!" Cold heartless preditors... steer clear of USHS!!!with the excuse that they are a paperless company, I was prevented from reading the contract. Tiny print in an email that was unreadable. This company targets older seniors who are trusting and gullible. Stay away from these thieves.

I was initially concerned and my son…
I was initially concerned and my son said I didn't need a new AC, BUT AFTER I GOT IT I SAVED SO MUCH ON MY LIGHT BILL. Last June it was over $400. This month was only $97!

I never signed a contract
I never signed a contract. The salesman took it upon himself to do all of the signatures and lied about how the hvac was going to lower the rates and never once told me the cost of the unit. I did not need the unit. Do not let these people near anyone else. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income and having to pay for something that I did not need or want is taking advantage of the older generation. You can cancel according to how far the installation is. They signed me one evening and installed everything the next.

HVAC system in the house uses old type of Freon that is no longer allowable per the government. I have to replace the outside unit because but it is not compatible with the one that was sold me.
First of all, the salesman was very aggressive, and would not take no for an answer. Now I have to replace my outside unit. To replace it. I have to put in a unit that uses the latest required Freon. The unit you put in has the old Freon that is no longer allowed. So these two systems are not compatible. I'm looking at having to replace both. You Wayover charged me I now have a loan for over $21,000. This is outrageous. I want this system removed from my house and my loan voided. Please contact me as soon as possible. Five months later, I need to replace my outside unit which uses the new Freon that is required when they put in has the old freon. Got no help at all from the manager. Now I'm stuck with true lucks.

Hello,
We understand how frustrating this situation can be and we appreciate you reaching out. We want to clarify that the furnace installed by USHS was matched to your current outside unit at the time of installation.
We have previously offered two solutions to address your concerns and have not yet heard back regarding which direction you would like to proceed. Our offer remains on the table and we are more than happy to provide assistance in this situation.
Please don't hesitate to give us a call so we can work toward a resolution as quickly as possible.

Good Work but Expensive. Beware Pushy Sales!
The ONLY reason I'm not giving this company a 4 is because the hard sell. I was especially vulnerable, and the charming sales guy drew us into a large purchase that leaves me feeling stupid and misused.
I'll come back to that.
The SAVING GRACE is that the company does indeed do GOOD WORK! They installed a new attic fan, air conditioner, water heater, and furnace (with new thermostat) installed all in one day, which was almost magical. These improvements will be good for my home and improve my energy bills (although not to the extent promised). The representative who later came out to do our Quality Assessment, Alan, was wonderful and reassuring; he caught several small improvements that he'll be making, at no extra charge. The company emailed me the papers that the city will need to permit the improvements, with clear instructions. We got our $3200 rebate check very quickly.
So why only 3 stars? TWO reasons. ONE is simply that, when I do the math on how much it would've cost to purchase and professionally install each item, individually, it's almost $10K less than I paid USHS (I guess $7K, after the rebate). I should have taken care of one item, paid it off, then taken care of another, instead of going so deeply into debt all at once. I may have to delay retirement over this decision.
SECOND is that initial sales representative oversold, and oversold HARD. In retrospect, red flags were everywhere. Why did everything have to be installed the VERY NEXT DAY? How could this possibly cut our energy bills by over 80% -- I mean, the lights and TV do also use energy. And, as it turns out, most of his not-legal-promises indeed fell flat. We do still have to use an upstairs window AC, despite our new AC and our attic fan. Our electric bill looks to be 5% less than last year, not 80%. Our kitchen sink doesn't get hot water any faster than it did with the 23-year-old water heater.
USHS is not responsible for my failure to draw a boundary (I just wanted a new AC!) and stick with it. But neither is it wholly innocent (they drew me into the appointment by dangling a $5K rebate, which I didn't get). In the end, my old house has an updated HVAC system--which is a good thing--and I owe a little too much money for it.

Can I give less than a one star…
Can I give less than a one star rating??? The St. Louis office has been absolutely the worst to work with. I have been without a washer for 2 weeks now and had to wait 1 1/2 weeks for a tech to come install the part in my washer although they already had the part in one day after the diagnostic appointment. The tech came yesterday and installed the new drum weights but my machine is not fixed. It’s doing the same thing it was before and despite my concerns that other things may have been broken when the weight broke off I was told that wouldn’t be an issue and the replacement weight would fix the problem. Now I’m being told I have to wait another week for a tech to come back out. I have 6 kids and will now be without a washing machine for a minimum of 3 weeks. The tech also cracked the top of the washer and did not install the face plate properly. The company is doing nothing to rectify the problem in a timely manner. On top of all of that the diagnostic tech had no idea what he was doing and asked me if the broken piece of my washer went to my washer. I have zero faith in this company.

Hello Cinnamon,
We are so sorry to hear that you are going through this — we cannot imagine how difficult it must be, especially with six kids at home, to be without a washer for this long.
However, we want to clarify that we do not have a St. Louis office, nor do we perform any maintenance or repairs on appliances. It appears this review may have been intended for a different company.
We truly hope this gets resolved for you as soon as possible and wish you all the best!

United States Home Services are Life Savers!
We moved into a new house and our AC went out a few weeks after living there, we didn’t really know any AC companies but my mom recommended United States Home Services to us since they installed hers and they came out within 2 hours and fixed it up! We were so worried we’d have to buy a new one but they were able to get it fixed and saved us such a big headache. I will definitely be using them to service my AC in the future and would recommend them to anyone!
