The software is easy to use after you play with it for a little while. The support team is helpful. I believe the only thing I would suggest improvement on is since the software is linked with a specific bank product that they streamline both the software to detail more specific information about things such as when something doesn't work they give you an exact reason why its not working. I'm not a fan of calling customer support for any business to be quite honest so ideally, I'd like to have the software come loaded with everything it needs for us to process returns efficiently with little to no support eg states, etc. This is the first tax software I used after Intuit and I loved Intuit, but, I like the advancement of UltimateTax as opposed to Intuit and how more geared it is for tax pros. Being a new ERO I am not approved to do pre-ack advances only advances after pre-ack which in its own way really is a pain when you consider being told by the bank all of the benefits of early funds available by 01/02/19 and how it works but never telling you that it won't work till the next year. I found the hard way yesterday after several returns I had processed for important customers between 01/02 and 01/04. This has nothing to do with UltimateTax but just be aware as a new ERO to not offer this specific bank product if you cannot deliver these services until a certain period. It was fair to be approved however, by EPS as a first year preparer whereas other banks would have said no.

I used Ultimate Tax this year and thought it was a good choice for the money because I had used TaxWise in the past and was familiar with the software. But I have not had a very good experience at all. I purchased also the 10 back years software package but basically cannot use it because the server has been down for over 2 weeks and all I am being told is that they don't have a clue when it is going to be up. It is right here at extension deadline and they don't know anything about it. So I am left not knowing what to do for my clients and they don't seem to care. Well they certainly don't need my business. The need better customer service and more tech savvy people to know what they are doing.

So far I have liked your customer service and also your guys know what they are doing technically.

Everything that was promised was delivered in a timely manner

The interview portion combined with the form fills driven by the interview are a time saver. Have not yet processed an efile but am hopeful it will be as smooth as the rest of the software in terms of navigation.

Honestly, I was reluctant to expose my clients to third parties. I didn't want them harassed or sold to a competing company. The software is great and has no limits. Love the fact that a small business can offer bank products; must have at least 25k in trust to cover in any other situation. Love the fact we can be individualized (retain my brand and image) while using this product. Most other companies want to stamp their name on returns having customers confused.

This is my 1st year using the software so I'm may be a little behind the learning curve. Coming over from Drake the SW is not intuitive but maybe as the season progresses it will grow on me. KUDO's to Operations Manager Chris Bynum, who spent a couple of hours emailing back and forth to help me with the initial login.

I switched from another tax preparation software to ultimate tax because it was more economical however I'm quickly seeing the difference.
