Ulta was a great place to go if you had question about make up or any beauty products. Not anymore all the employees stay together and talk and carry on and ignore customers. They are not interested on helping anyone. Don't waste your time.

Can I give ZERO stars??
Can I give ZERO stars??? I had my engagement pictures yesterday for our save-the-dates and I sat in a chair for TWO HOURS (for an eye makeup appt, that takes 30 minutes the last 2 times I did eye makeup (which was done by different people that were not affiliated with Ulta). When making the reservation, I told her I did not want face makeup, but she did it, which I was confused and thought maybe one layer to enhance eye makeup? I showed her pictures of what I wanted, but didn't get that. I have blue eyes, so naturally do silver, lavender, blue shadows (and the picture I showed also had a silver shimmer to it). I was taken back when I opened my eyes and saw brown eyeshadow (which we then had to go with champagne shimmer, because couldn't mix the silver with brown). My eyes always pop with my natural color- they didn't at all with the brown makeup. I said multiple times I didn't like the face makeup and wanted it off, but instead she kept pounding more on to "fix it". After two hours of layers and layers, I told her again I want it off because I looked like I was about to get laid out in a coffin after a mortician just did my makeup. I had deep wrinkles in my face (that I do not normally have). It was so caked-on that I looked SO OLD! I told her the eyes had to be fixed because we have lots of closeups with our eyes closed (which we did! We get the photos back in two weeks). I sat there for 2 hours when I finally said "no more"- this made me late AND LOSE TIME RESERVED for a very important and expensive day. After she rubbed my face over and over with different cleaners (which I have sensitive skin), my face was red everywhere, so now she had to use some cover up- again, not what I signed up for. I took pictures as I sat there in the chair and it shows crooked lashes (one corner is lifted). Smudged eyeshadow. Uneven liner. And my skin discolored between the face makeup that just wouldn't come off because there was so much, and the constant rubbing to try to take it off. I WISH I WOULD HAVE READ THESE REVIEWS PRIOR. The girl doing my makeup (who is a hair stylist- I thought she was fulltime makeup) was sweet as pie, but at the end of the day, she was horrible with makeup- and this is a makeup review. As upset as I was that these pictures will be on our save the dates and at our wedding, I thank God these aren't my wedding pictures. I'd cry! If anyone wants to see the pics of my makeup I took there, I'll send.

There is no way to contact Ulta Beauty Corporate to file a complaint. Every call using their customer service numbers gets routed to a call center in the Philippines, who were given limited capacity to solve problems and have constant connection issues, which result in calls being dropped. An order was placed in early February (2 months ago), where the Ulta Beauty warehouse worker sent bottles with loose caps that leaked out of the package before it was even delivered. TWO more replacements later over the course of a month, every box was still sent with leaking contents. I asked for a refund and NONE was offered except in the form of a gift card. I explained to every agent (about 20) that I spoke to that I have no intention of ever ordering with Ulta Beauty again and that a gift card just creates a vicious cycle. None of them offered to do anything about it. On top of them, I have been chasing this unicorn gift card for a month now, as it was NEVER sent. Every time I reach an agent and he/she promises that it will be EMAILED to me within 48 hours, it does not appear. On top of that, their customer service email department blocks specific customers' email addresses and refuses to respond.
Like other reviews have mentioned, avoid Ulta Beauty like the plague. Use Sephora or Macy's instead.

Too many bad experiences to count! …
Too many bad experiences to count..After waiting in incredibly long lines every single time I am there I always have to beg for my reward points. then I have to double check my receipts because sometimes when I get home I see the rewards weren’t applied. Went back to the store to get my reward points applied and was told I had to have the products with me or they couldn’t do it! Also somehow ended up with 2 accounts and was told by cashier at store to call customer svc to merge my 2 accounts. when I called I waited on hold to only be hung up on two times. Then when someone finally answered on my third try they tell me I have to go back to the store and merge the accounts in person since one of the accounts has a single letter misspelled in my name and they have to match exactly or they can’t merge them. I asked them to just cancel one of the accounts and he said he couldn’t do that. Then after I go back to the store and the two accounts match it will take 14 days for the change to take effect! Forget it, I am done with Ulta. Sephora has all the same products and is closer to my house anyway!

ARE YOU KIDDING😡
I have been with Ulta for maybe 15 years. I do not think much more. As of late with the Pandemic, the use of makeup went out the window. I finally got back into the groove of purchasing, and return to them. Big mistake. I ordered online for delivery, and the online rep decided to go on lunch during our support chat. I ended the call. I called chat again, this lady was more helpful, so I will give credit for that. I texted and called the Ulta Customer Service line. I never did receive a text back and the phone number was disconnected. Big help, NOT! Then the colors came in and did not match my complexion, I wanted an even exchange for the correct color, and the clerk tried charging me $5 plus change. I just returned the item, then the other 2 that followed, so instead of them losing no money and my being happy, they lost the purchase of 3 items. I also lost out on a gift with purchase for Kylie. Would not recommend unless other stores like Sephora does not carry.

Zero stars if I could
Zero stars if I could. Loyal customer since 2016. Diamond rewards member since they started the program. I spend thousands at Ultra trying new products, stocking up on sales for myself, my friends and family who can't shop online, restocking my favorite products. THEN a few days ago I was unable to checkout on their newly designed website. Ulta customer service is non-responsive so I'm not going to waste time for answers since I've read hundreds of similar experiences from other Ulta.com customers. Don't understand a company blocking a customer from placing online orders. But all of the products I have purchased from Ulta are available at their competitor and major department stores which all seem to have fully functioning online checkout processes. Recommend doing online beauty product shopping other than at Ulta.com unless you want a frustrating shopping/ordering experience!

Horrible company
Horrible company. Has "free gifts" that always immediately sell out, then they have sales with no rain checks on stuff that sells out. Been a Diamond member for years and I'm cutting up my card and done. Take care of your customers, not whoever can buy your crap the fastest.

Customer Service is a joke!
I LOVED Ulta for many years. I have been a rewards member for over 15 years and order from them, at least, every two months. Most times I shop in their stores, but since Covid order on-line.
Over a year ago, Ulta would not allow me to order on-line. I have changed my password, tried to create an account on a different email, went to store and talked to an associate, called the 800 number (something with an agent I can understand and sometimes not) and emailed them. I have spent hours on the phone. Each time, they tell me in 24-48 hours I will receive an email on what to do. When I do get lucky enough to get a return email, they tell me to create a new account, which it will never let me do.
What a joke that a major company cannot figure this out or does not care enough to do something about it. I also have points that I have allowed to add up also, that I can't use. Unfortunately, during the time I haven't been able to order, I have ordered from Sephora instead.
Guess what??????...... I have no problem ordering or getting ahold of someone that can help me with something if I do.
Later Ulta!!!
