I've always loved Ulta
Go to Sephora, they're nicer, smaller store but helpful and they are happy where they work. I've always loved Ulta. I think it's a great store. I like the set up and I like the cleanliness and variety. The customer service or lack there of, is exactly why I am giving two stars. I used to get a small sample on my birthday. I've spent alot of money at Ulta in my years. I was declined that when I went to the Rochester NH location on my actual birthday and I understand a lot of what the store typically offers, is limited due to Covid-19. I NEVER spend less than a hundred a visit but I feel like after today, I'll take my business elsewhere. The store had very few customers, I Asked for help with foundation, and was pointed in a few directions and told I could buy a $40 dollar foundation and go home try it on and if I dont like it, theres a website I could go to match my shade better and come in and buy a better fit for another $40. Basically I need to spend $80 on two foundations to have one. Why wouldn't this woman help match me while I'm there instead of making me buy something that doesn't match? I look over and there is a woman getting her makeup done at the brow bar next to us. Wasnt offered any of the points I've been racking up and declined my birthday sample on my actual birthday and the excuse was because my email changed, also told me that I could go on the website and change my email later. I just stared at her and she offered several minutes later to change it for me there at the register "Next year you can be entitled to the birthday sample gift, when you get the email."
