I ordered 2 eyeliner pencils, 2 eyebrow pencils, and hair detangler. When I received my package 1 eyeliner was unsealed, had the cap off and used down to sharpening level. One eyebrow pencil was also unsealed and had the eyeliner cap on it. I took it to the Ulta store and they refunded my money on the 2 pieces but I will never order from them again.

No thank Y.
Store 1245 is the most disgusting Ulta…
Store 1245 is the most disgusting Ulta I have ever been to. I used to live in a trap house and I would rather be in there than in the Ulta. All of the products were laid down on the shelf. Nothing was standing up. The floors were disgusting. All of the counters were unorganized.

The WORST customer service
Very poor customer service. They repeat themselves and say thanks for being understanding when I was not understanding. It was a simple fix for Ulta to keep a loyal customer but they wouldn't budge to help me with an error that's on their system, no fault of mine. completely inflexible.

I am extremely disappointed with how Ulta handled my $144 order.
I accidentally entered the wrong ZIP code when placing my order. I acknowledge that mistake. However, the **city and state on my shipping address were correct: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania**. Despite this, the carrier delivered my package to **Montgomeryville, Pennsylvania — a completely different city**.
My concern is not simply that the ZIP code was incorrect. My concern is that the package was delivered to an entirely different city than the city listed on my order. If the address was considered undeliverable because of the incorrect ZIP code, the package should have been returned to Ulta rather than delivered somewhere else.
There is also no proof that the package was ever taken to the actual shipping address listed on my order. I provided documentation showing that it was delivered in Montgomeryville, PA, while my order clearly stated Philadelphia, PA.
This was a **$144 purchase that I bought as a gift for my son**, and now I have to tell him that he isn't getting the gift because of how this delivery was handled. What makes this even more frustrating is that Ulta has refused to refund or reship the order, choosing to place the entire responsibility on me because of the ZIP code error.
I understand making a mistake with a ZIP code, but I do not believe that justifies a carrier delivering a package to a completely different city. I expected better customer service from Ulta and a reasonable effort to resolve the situation.
Unfortunately, after this experience, I will be contacting the **Better Business Bureau** and sharing my experience with others. Customers should know how their delivery issues may be handled when something goes wrong.
Very disappointed with both the delivery outcome and Ulta's response.

I went to Ulta Beauty in Pensacola for…
I went to Ulta Beauty in Pensacola for root touch-up. I won't mention the hairdresser's name so as to force their management to look into the incident.
About four months ago, I had gone to the same hairdresser for roots and I paid $68 including tip.
I should add that I am South African 🇿🇦 and spend lengthy periods of time working outside the US.
This time, I was told the total was $121, and I paid $20 tip for the hairdresser and $10 for the helper who washed my hair, totalling $151. Whilst paying, I was highly suspicious about the charge of $121, but paid it to give me time to check what I had paid for the same service by the same hairdresser.
The following day, I went to Ulta Beauty to address the overcharge with her. When asked why I had been charged more than double from the previous time, she told me she needed to check the computer to see what had happened.
She then showed a price list with the three levels of hairdressers, where she falls under "ELITE" because she's been a hairdresser for 30 years. This "ELITE" status is Ulta's marketing doing. The price for roots with an "ELITE" hairdresser is $87 (ROOTS ONLY). I asked to be explained where the $121 came from. She went back to the computer and told me that she had used the flat iron. I was absolutely livid. For starters, she never mentioned that she'd charge $34 to use the flat iron, which I would have declined. $34?????Secondly, she hardly used the flat iron and my hair hardly looked any different from the brush blow-dry.
Thirdly, who in the world would have the audacity to charge $34 to use the flat iron on short hair? Outrageous tactics and daylight robbery.
She was quick to tell me that she would give me the credit because she had failed to tell me.
I did get the credit, but unfortunately it left me with a very bad experience with Ulta Beauty, and I will absolutely not support them EVER again. To have the audacity to charge $34 to use the flat iron is unheard of anywhere. In any event, hairdressers worldwide don't use flat irons. Only in the US, flat irons are popular. I guess the hairdresser standards can't possibly compare to the artists found in many countries, thus needing the use of flat irons in the US. Europe, Turkiye, Middle East, South Africa, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Australia have SUPERB hairdressers.
Ulta Beauty is an extension of the crooked ways of doing business in the US, where exploitation is the order of the day. I, for one, won't fall prey to your business malpractice conduct. You're an appalling company and it's no wonder you have been losing money over the years.

Customer service is a joke
Customer service is a joke. If you have any issues even if you contact them 5 minutes after placing an order they tell you there's nothing they can do other than refund you-- which is fine unless you got the item on sale and cannot re-buy it at the same price. They send LONG daunting emails that appear to be copied and pasted or generated via AI "educating you".
Thanks but no thanks-- I need help with a problem not to read a novel on Ultas shipping/customer service practices. Every other company i have ever had an issue with has gone above and beyond to make things right, make things clear, and leave a good taste in the mouth of the customer. This process was exhausting and left me feeling like even a sale wasn't worth dealing with these people or these AI...whatever they are using. Everything seemed very impersonal and the emails repeated alot of paragraphs of text. 0 stars and would not recommend anymore after being a loyal ULTA customer for years. Customer service didn't use to suck as much as it does now.
Sephora has the same sales and better customer service. They have no problem helping and doing everything they can to help get your order corrected or dealt with. I guess that will be where I go from now on.
Super disappointed with this experience.

The customer service at Ulta is…absolutely horrendous.
The customer service at Ulta is absolutely horrible. I had an order that said it was delivered twice to my locked mailbox, but I never received it. I have reached out to customer service about 10 times now asking for the products to be reshipped and I have been given the run around. First I was told someone would contact me, that never happened. Then I was put on hold for almost an hour when I called back. Then I was told it would be changed to a pick up order and that never happened. Then I called again was told someone would contact me, no one did, I was actually told that twice. I finally emailed them and no one has gotten back to me. I paid for a package I never received and no one is helping me get my money or this package back. Ulta should be ashamed of themselves.

Love their products but the Customer Service....
Love their products, but Customer Service is the worst I have ever experienced. I tried placing an order during a 1-day 50% sale. I had an issue placing the order online, so they escalated it to tech support and told me I would hear back once it was fixed. 4 days later...crickets. I called and was told it had been escalated again, then I was disconnected. When I called back, I was told it was fixed and given instructions to place the order again, after which I would be given the discount back on my CC. After placing the order, I was told that the refund wouldn't be processed until the item was delivered. Maybe I would've heard that part had I understood what the rep was saying, but between the bad connection, the accent, and the speed at which she spoke, I missed a lot. If I was a big company like Ulta, I would be ashamed of the support I was offering to my customers.
