Just came in from Ultra Beauty store located in Scotch Plains NJ Rte 22. The line was so long with only 2 cashiers. Very slow in a very hot store. The helper on the floor was quite irritable with each question regarding product location throughout the store. If a manager see where the line has more than 12 people standing for a length of time; to combat this, open two more registers or sign on yourself at least until the line is shorter. I dont think I can do this store again. I almost fainted while standing so long. Finally at the register with approximately 12 or more items; they had no bags. When customers spend this kind of money in your establishment, get some darn bags. How insulting is this? Lip sticks dropping through parking lots, along with foundation, skin care on the way back to my car. THIS STORE NEED A MAKE OVER

I paid 12.99 at checkout for ups shipping. They shipped it smartpost so usps ( totally unreliable) makes the end delivery. Because they did this I had to pay an additional 7.99 for ups to deliver it. 20.98 total for shipping. Ridiculous.

I was recently at the Gulf View Mall store in Clearwater, FL. I had the unpleasant experience of being approached by Christine(wears a dark brown wig) I was all but assaulted by her asking if I was interested in a credit card application- complete with whipping out her phone and showing me the app. I REPEATEDLY told her I WAS NOT INTERESTED but she continued to badger me and repeatedly asked "are you sure?", "are you sure?" it was most annoying, so much so that I laid down my $250.00 purchases and walked out of the store to do my shopping elsewhere. I have been a regular customer for years but after this being the third time of this occurring- that's right- it was a charm for the other store; I left and WILL NOT RETURN. Perhaps she needs some more training or perhaps an English Dictionary!

I've had more than 3 pickup orders canceled by my local store, with no explanation. If it's an issue of stock, then they need to figure out a way to show what's in stock and what's not -- or even what's low in stock -- on the website BEFORE people order. I ordered for shipping, but when it didn't ship in 24 hours, I decided to cancel it and order for pickup instead, since the site said it was in stock. Only for the pickup order to cancel and now I won't get the item before Christmas.

I had $8 in rewards to use on my order. When I went to place the order, there was an issue and my rewards ‘disappeared.’ I escalated to Ulta and they lied and stated my rewards would be reinstated in 24 hours but that never happened. When I complained again, they did nothing. I will never shop there again. I WAS a Platinum customer.

A rapid decline in value, service, and overall experience is how I would classify my experiences with Ulta as of late. Whether or not they want to admit it, they are a curator of other brands and they are quickly becoming irrelevant with ridiculous price markups and extremely slow shipping. I'm going on two weeks waiting for my order to arrive and I'm kicking myself because I should have just ordered directly from the companies who make the products. I would have received them by now and it would have cost me less. Ulta used to be a place to shop because the price markup would be reasonable given the smart promotions they ran, the samples they'd send with your orders, and the rewards program. Clearly someone at Ulta has decided to scale back on those things to maximize their profits and it shows. Dear Ulta Execs: Those perks are literally the only reason to shop through you.

Took my first trip to Ulta today and it was just ok. I won't be shopping there again due to the fact that they won't return any items, even unopened with a receipt unless they have your phone number! How ridiculous, you have to have an account with them which means you giving them your information to even do a simple return. I'll continue with Sephora, less hassle, better customer service!

Ulta had products I wanted available online. Fairly easy to find what I was looking for. The killer was the checkout process! OMG what a debacle. The addresses kept changing and needed to be reentered. My PayPal would not go through (or so I thought), and website would not accept my credit card info as an alternative. I must have attempted to check out 10 times. A chat (robotic) came up, but then it kept ending my message before I finished typing (about 4 times). Finally I gave up, said to hell with it. And when I checked the PayPal site later, the order had actually gone through! NEVER AGAIN. Easy convenient checkout is a MUST nowadays.
