Had a second hair appointment with Ashley Nicole D for a clipper cut. She was late to work (10 minutes), but I waited. She started clipping and chatting. 1 3/4 hours later. She says I be back in a minute and leaves. I ask another worker where she is? Next thing that happens is that I manager came over and said, she was zeroing out my order and was sorry. All my hair in the back was shaved off/cut off. They said a salon manager was not available and there was nothing they could do. The salon manager will call you tomorrow and they kindly took me to the front of store. I am devastated. She never returned....noone could fix my hair..........left with a mess in the back. I wish there was a place to show pictures of this horrible cut.

I was a ulta customer And for some reason, I did not receive my statements for three months when I called them and told them this, they refused to take this answer from me and also refuse to take the late fees off because it was not my fault. All I can tell you is. Nobody should ever get a Alta card and the manager Stephen was horrible to me and while I was speaking to him, he just cut me off without a thank you or anything. Do you want some people to treat customers like this? I will never ever get ulta Card And they should fire Stephen for speaking to me so rudely and not at all apologetic because I did not receive the mail a bunch of hypocrites they should not be in business He cut me off even before he gave me a confirmation For my payment of 277.30 Is this good customer service is this how you treat a customer If he had spoken politely I would have stayed No one should ever go to ulta ever Sephora is wonderful company and great people

Where to begin? Cyber Monday I tried to make an online purchase. There were sale prices for the items in my basket. When checking out it kept saying my shipping address was invalid! Crazy! I went into the store the next day. The sale was over. I talked to a manager, they gave me the customer service phone number to call while I was standing there in the store. I was told to go ahead and place my order at full price and price adjustments would be made because there was a glitch in their system saying peoples addresses were invalid on cyber Monday, an overload on their system or something. I placed the order at regular price as instructed. I have emailed and they tell me they will get back to me promptly after looking into my order. I’ve called several times to customer service, you explain your situation over and over again and no one has helped me! That last customer service gal I spoke to said she would ask the processing team or whatever to refund me back $50. It’s at least something! But no- nothing has happened! No price adjustment, no $50 refund like I was told. I still have the box of the full price items they told me to order and they’d refund me. I’m so frustrated and mad that this company does not do as they promised.

My account was hacked into due to an Ulta data security breach, along with thousands of others, my info changed, points were stolen, and attempted payment method. Took Ulta weeks to resolve issue and return points, and only after multiple calls in, several broken promises and misinformation. Gift card was promised for inconvenience. Now not being honored by Ulta Beauty. Guest services only gives automated generic responses. Ulta is at this point outright frauding customers by promising them things to get them off the phone and then denying them saying there are no notes on my account offering such. They blatantly refuse to pull their call tapes.

I received a gift card this holiday season and when I removed the packaging, a few numbers in the PIN code were scratched off. I figured the card would still be usable and went to the store to purchase a few items but was told the card was unusable without the full PIN — it could not even be scanned or swiped. The cashier told me I could call the customer service line and be issued an e-gift card instead. When I called, however, the representative informed me I couldn't get an e-gift card or refund without a proof of purchase for the gift card. I explained that it was a gift, like most GIFT cards are, and she basically told me someone would email me. I received emails that made me go through the exact same chain of events (sending the card info, informing me I need a proof of purchase, explaining that I don't have a proof of purchase, etc) before the customer service representative finally told me there was nothing to be done. I'm extremely disappointed and upset about this policy and find it so silly that three digits missing for a PIN number means I can't use the card at all. I've used plenty of other gift cards at stores without needing the full PIN. Huge rip-off and I won't be shopping at Ulta again.

“This review is for the salons located in Miami, FL. I am not sure how the salon hair services are supposed to work, are they company wide or store dependant? Meaning, does the company dictate which services the salon will offer (haircut, highlights etc) therefore each stylist hired MUST offer said services as lined up by the company? Or do the stylists get to pick and choose which services they feel like offering? Based on my experience in all of the Miami, FL locations, I'm leaning towards the second option. The general issue seems to lie with Kids Haircuts. Althought it is advertised in most/all the stores in the area, it is non-existent. For most stores, the kids haircut is advertised and at least one stylist is listed for said service. However, when trying to book the date/time, there is never availability FOR AS FAR ALONG AS THE BOOKING CALENDAR ALLOWS. And no, this isn't a "you must have been unlucky and they were probably fully booked that time " situation. Within the course of one whole year, I attempted to book several times, at different times/months of the year, each time attempting different locations. The result was the same across : a sylist might be listed under the service, but no dates available AT ALL. Once, out of all the failed attempts, I was able to book an appointment with a stylist at the Kendall location. Within an hour of my booking, I received a text message stating the appointment had been canceled and a a phone call AFTER claiming there had been a double booking and the time was not actually available, and I was advised to book online for a different day. I went ahead and did just that (within an hour of previous booking), except now there were no stylists at all available for the Kids Haircut service at that same location for the foreseeable future. So an hour before the service was offered. Now it wasn't... Fast forward to now. I recently reconnected with an old high school friend. While catching up, I learned she had gone to beauty school and became a hairstylist. She mentioned she had worked at Ulta (three different locations throughout the city) before opening her own business. I mentioned the issue I had encountered and her inmediate response was "Oh yeah, they don't like doing kids haircuts because they don't make money of it". She proceeded to explain how the company prices kids haircuts at $25 (the industry standard in the area) and how none stylists like to work for that little money. So what they "all would do" she said, was remove themselves from the service (Kids Haircut), and if by any chance someone got to book before they remove their names, they would cancel the appointment using any excuse, then remove their names and/or availability. She wasnt sure if this was "technically allowed" but again " we all did it this way in every store I worked ".... Needless to say I stopped my attempts to book services with them, especially knowing how unmotivated they are, which would surely affect the quality of the service. But I still wonder if this is "technically allowed" (stylist can freely pick and choose which services to offer) or if the company dictates which services MUST be offered nationwide and these stylists down in Miami are breaching company's rules.

Went to the location in Willow Lawn in Richmond, VA at 8:21 pm tonight ….doors were locked. All signage indicated that the store closed at 9:00 pm…..the holiday hours and the regular hours posted. Saw 2 employees near the front door and knocked. One came to the door stating that they were closed and she originally said at 9:00, then looked at her watch and saw it was only 8:21, then changed it to “we close at 8:00”, and pointed to the signs that did not state that. When I said that the signs don’t say that she pretty much just brushed me off. I was intending to spend a lot of money on products…..but I just went to the Target down the street and spent it there. Poor customer service.
