Better than sephora when it comes to rewards. Most of the time the workers are really helpful. Only had one bad experience in the store with a manager.

Poor service in the hair salon with Maddie, one hour late and no excuses! This is the second time not keeping appointments.

I ordered my product online as I did not want to have to drive the far distance the store is from my home. Now i have to state that I did not read the return policy, so this is on me, but my package arrived with one of the foundation tops broken off and makeup all over the box. I can't use it. I can send it back, but the freight costs will be about as much as the original cost of the foundation. Of course, I can drive to the store to return it, but if I had wanted to go to the store in the first place I would not have ordered online. Just a heads up to READ everything involved in the sale. UPDATE: I was contacted VERY quickly by Ulta offering me a refund for the damaged product. I am grateful for their resolution of this incident!

Most of my online and in store purchases have been positive ones. I’ve shopped around for years for best value for skin care and make-up. Ulta has the biggest range, but isn’t always on top of their game.

I would give online 5 stars, and in store 3 or even less. Products being good or bad is not a measurement I consider when rating the store. Those should be rated separately. The problem with the in store experience is that more often than not, a product you may want is either out of stock, or is no longer carried in the store. Additionally the signage may indicate a bonus or something specific, and more often than not, unless it's an Ulta brand, it will NOT be available despite the signage.

Makeup shopping is amazing when you have everything in one place, but it’s not always that great when the customer service isn’t as great. I don’t usually shop for makeup so when I do I expect the most of it and it isn’t always so great. They give you a small birthday gift and for the past two years I haven’t received anything from them. I called customer service and was told I just have received an email and never did, kind of disappointing
