I went into the ulta in Howell New Jersey today. A woman who worked there started helping me after eyeing me down, along with all the other associated there. They watch you and make you feel like a thief. She knew nothing about the products . I used to work at ulta so I know the deal. But she was uneducated . And wasn't listening to what I was saying and wanted . Please hire knew people with more experience

I had ordered something online from Ulta during a sale and it never arrived. I was first told I would get a refund to buy the products at full price then call back and get refunded the difference so they would still honor the sale price. After being put on hold I was then told that the sale price I paid can only be honored for one item (I purchased 2 Paul Mitchell hair serums for $10 each instead of $28) so they would give me $28 instead of $20. This was still not honoring the sale price as I would only be getting an $8 discount instead of $18. She insisted this was honoring the sales price and wouldn't offer any other solutions. I was then sent a $22 egift card-not even the amount promised!! When I called back I got someone equally as uninterested and insincere telling me that was "above and beyond" what they are supposed to do. They will not even refund the amount to my credit card as I am no longer interested in giving them my business, so now I am forced to purchase one of the two items I had ordered with a whopping $8 discount instead of $18. The worst part is they made it seem like it was my fault my order never arrived and they were doing me a favor for refunding my money and not honoring the price I paid or just sending me a replacement. I will be shopping exclusively at Sephora from now on

very unprofessional. Called me at 7 pm the NIGHT before my daughter's graduation to cancel the appointment . Didnt even give me enough time to try and find someone else to do ger hair and makeup. I will never use this place again. They almost ruined my daughter's graduation

I went to a nearby Ulta in Tupelo, MS to make a few purchases and get the free gifts included in my purchase. I shop at this Ulta frequently and have a lot of friends that work there in the salon. I bought roughly $50 worth of product and was supposed to receive three free gifts. After checking out, I asked twice about these gifts to get a "nah you don't get that stuff" from the lady at the register. I told her I could pull up on my phone where I saw the ad, but she called another lady over to get her to handle the gifts. She said she didn't know how to check them out. The new lady then told me that none of my purchases qualified for any free items. I showed her, in the Ulta app, where they did. She gave me one of the free items, but not the other two. She still refused to agree with what I had just shown her in the app and instead said this particular store didn't do free gifts... after she had just given me one. I called customer service after this disaster and they were horrified. They sent me a gift card and urged me to go back to the store to get my free items. Customer service was the only good thing about this experience as they were extremely helpful and concerned with the in store treatment I received. UPDATE: I went back today 5/25/17 to get the free products that came with my original purchase. This time I spoke with the manager about the issue and showed her my receipts, my feedback from customer service, and the original Free Gift with Purchase sale on the Ulta app. I thought this would be a simple process but it was far from that. The manager was rude and seemed extremely bothered by the fact she would have to give me these free items. To make a very long story not so long- she gave me two free things, one of my choice since they were out of the original gifts. This exchange could have gone far better than it did. Retail work is difficult and she could have been really going through something today. I have no idea. I just know that after this first world problem 'ordeal' I'll do my shopping at Sephora.

I ordered $147 worth of items, including a $74 bottle of perfume. I received the package (late) and only $10 worth of items were in the box. I contacted Ulta customer service, expecting a replacement/refund. However, they told me there was nothing for them to do and I should call my bank and dispute the charge. This seems so shady and deceptive, since I did authorize the initial charge. So, instead of trying to correct their error, I'm now involved an a 45 day + process of disputing the charge and I don't have the items I ordered. I will never shop on Ulta.com or in any Ulta store again. I just have no confidence in their customer service. Also, as the credit card dispute process is still open, I'm not sure if they're going to let me have my refund. Just terrible. I've told all of my friends/family about this and to never shop at Ulta again.

I went in Ultra Beauty the manager name Crystal in the Jackson TN store was rude. I was not told thank you for my business! But when her friend was came and she checked her out she was laughing and nice. I go in the store a lot and I feel I Deserve better!

Yesterday they offered a free gift with $50 purchase for 4 hrs. From 10:00-2:00. A little bit after 10:00 they said that they run out of it because it was too popular. Today they have it for $50. What a dirty trick to customers.

Second time I've gone to ulta to get a highlight touchup. Both times I show the picture of myself of the exact way I want my highlights done. I always get a partial at every other company and have never had any issue. First time they messed up the highlight, the cut and the style. They then at the end stated that they had been out of the needed color to lift but tried to use a different one to no success. The second time I went to a different location in hopes that maybe it was just that one. I book in bring in my photo and the girl says she can do just that. When I first get there 5 before my appointment no one acknowledges me. I'm sat down in the waiting area for 15 past my appointment time with still no one noticing me. I finally have to ask to be checked in and make sure the stylist knew she had me that day. Then when I sit down she's upset and another stylist makes a comment about her mad face. I try to shrug it off and have her view the picture and she says she can lift it to the color and she'll take me blond, blond like the picture. Then when I get done with processing I let her know that the touch up is very noticeable and doesn't match the rest of my hair. She said it's just like that when wet. It'll lighten up once it's dry. The cut was perfect. The style exactly as I'd asked but I told her that the color didn't lift properly. She then tells me that I'm wrong I asked for dimension and that's what she gave me. I've just paid $147 for my hair to look like I didn't even get any color in it. I tell her that I showed her the picture and she says yes but tells me I'm wrong and I didn't want the picture. She calls the manager over to discuss rebooking me and the manager tells me I needed a full which isn't what I got. I have always at all other salons gotten a partial. If that were true during my consultation I should have been informed of the extra charge for more foils and I would have happily paid. However, they continue to tell me how many foils I had and how many I needed and I should have known. I'm not a stylist I just want to go in with my picture of myself and come out looking like I just went to get my touch ups in my highlights. My hair now looks like there's no fix to the color and I feel like instead of the stylist stepping up and saying she was wrong that I was blamed for her not putting in enough blond like the picture I showed her.
