I placed an online order and somehow the computer defaulted to my old address when I updated my credit card info. I never received my order, but because it got “delivered” , Ulta won’t refund or reship the order to me. I emailed them several times and asked for a supervisor. Their answer is still “we can’t reship your order because the computer won’t allow the address to be changed. I did delete my old address, and told them that I have had several orders shipped to my current home, so I did not notice the change at checkout, assuming they had my correct address. I called customer service as well, and the operator was very kind, and wanted to help me, so she went to her supervisor. Still same response, no refund, no new order shipped to me. The operator said “we have sales coming up, soo maybe you can order then”. I told her to please pass on to her supervisor that I will NEVER EVER shop at Ulta again, and neither will my friends and family. They have the absolute worst customer service I have encountered in my life.

I love the store
I love the store. But ordering on line this last time was so upsetting that I will NEVER order from them again - somehow my Unit # on my address did not transfer over to my order I have Ulta delivered at least once a month so it was a glitch in their system - I was going out of town and needed the products - My order sat on the delivery van for over a week and Ulta would not release the package to me via phone. I went on line to Sephora and they delivered my package 2 days later Their customer service department was dismissive and no help at all.

Horrible Color Service
My daughter was visiting her dad in Hattiesburg, MS and decided she wanted to have purple hair. They originally quoted her $120 and then did additional services and did not inform anyone that the price jumped to $190. My daughter used her summer babysitting money to get her hair done and then being surprised with a $70 increase was one of many things that were ridiculous about this visit. After about 2 weeks her hair faded to silver and was streaky and uneven. I have never, in all my years, seen a bright color fade that quickly and to such a God awful color. Whoever did her hair riped my daughter off and obviously had no clue how to actually chemically treat hair. This was an overpriced and disappointing experience, to say the least. I definitely would recommend going ANYWHERE else to get your hair colored!!!

Would give zero stars if I could
Would give zero stars if I could. I had trouble with getting an order that I made online and it took FOUR separate phone calls to get my issue resolved. I submitted a complaint online and the response was pitiful. I have a credit card and have literally spent thousands of dollars at this store over the years. Never ordering online again.

Ulta - who can't keep their computer or story straight.
I am an Ulta Ultimate Rewards member, Diamond level, because I spend a lot of money at Ulta. Well, until recently. I went to use the points in my account and saw there were 500 extra ones. I called customer service to find out why, and the gentleman said, oh, it's from your hair appointment and some purchases. I said, ok and didn't question it. I went to Ulta to purchase some much needed concealer, and a few liters of shampoo and conditioner while they were on sale. I used my points, because they're MY points, in MY account from MY purchases. I am out to dinner that evening with my husband and get a call from a detective, stating that I had used someone else's Ulta points and she was irate. He then went on to explain that when they pulled the account up at the Ulta store, it is my information as far as address, spelling of my first and last name, shop at the same store, but the birthday was different. I called Ulta on Monday, only to have them say, Opps, we accidentally merged your account with another customer in the area that has the same spelling of first and last name and who's account is one number different and now, we are locking the account until we decide who's points are who's. I told them fine, and I asked for a supervisor, who stated the same thing and that my account is now with loss prevention. I said fine, let me talk to them only to be told they will not speak with customers. I asked her what her suggestion was and she said start a new account and we'll let you know when this is resolved. I said, oh heck no, I'm a diamond and not starting over. It's been 3 weeks, and we have no resolution, no indication of how long this is going to take and they're treating me like I'm a criminal when it is their mistake. I have a very public job, and to have this going on is very embarrassing. It is NOT my fault that another mother had great taste in her child's first name and spelled it like mine, or that my ex's last name is the same as her maiden name. Nor is it my fault that we're both Ulta reward members. It is not hers either. But, Ulta is placing blame on us when it is on them. They refuse to do anything about their mistake and refuse to make it right or unlock the account. I am so over this whole BS with Ulta and their excuses that I am ready to take ALL of my business to Sephora or Amazon. At least they don't mix up people's accounts and drag heels fixing it.

Horrible stylists that don’t listen
I made an appointment at Ulta in Mooresville, NC by the recommendation of a friend and ended up spending over $500 at another salon to have this catastrophe corrected. My initial appointment left me with hot red roots and dark auburn hair, so I returned to have it corrected. During that appointment, I asked the new stylist to simply strip out what was done and correct the roots. I left with the red roots still in tact and with icy blonde hair. Once I was able to get to a credible stylist at another salon, she found green and blue hair in the midst due to the different dye and toner reactions. Horrible and traumatic hair experience.
