Customer service was good, but I received the complete wrong items. Correct invoice and everything, correct gift only for fragrance orders, but I received someone else’s makeup order instead? Customer service was great and issued a refund, but considering it was only my second order kinda offputting.

Ulta, please stop asking your stylist to suggest your knew set of curt girl hair care methods and products to women of color. Just because you have added diversity, doesn’t mean we all want it. As a side note, my stylist gets 10 stars but making her suggest unwanted hair information is taking away from the wonderful experience she normally provides.

SHIPPING I’ve never really had a problem with a product or customer service but their shipping is absolute horrible. Maybe it’s just for my area (ATL) but it’s a shame. I don’t know if they switched shippers recently or what because I’ve never had issues before. They’ve “lost” my package and then turned around and said it was delivered when it never was. Usually they take a photo of my doorstep with the package and there was no photo. Just a lie that my package was delivered. Customer service (on the shipping end) even stopped replying to me and then wouldn’t answer any more of my emails. Ulta did send a replacement but it’s still annoying to go through that process. I got another order today and all the boxes were smashed and an oil product leaked all inside the box. Ulta is replacing product again but come on guys! Nothing inside the box was wrapped or taped to stay closed. Everything was just loosely thrown inside with no bubble wrap to fill the void. I really wish they would fix these issues because it’s extremely annoying to deal with and I love Ulta.

The app and the website was frustrating to use. I was offered two free gifts for two separate items purchased. There was also a deal for 5x the rewards if I ordered online and did a pick up in store. In my bag(cart) everything was fine until I changed it from Delivery to Pick Up. It stated that the free gifts were not available at the store I chose to pick up at. I chatted with the help chat, hoping someone could help me find a solution. I know it’s not the staff’s fault that the free gifts were not available at the store I was trying to pick up at. I tried checking 3-5 more Ultas that are near me and some didn’t have all the items in my bag, while the rest didn’t have the free gifts. My only options were to choose between Delivery - I’d get the free gifts but not the 5x points - or Pick Up - I’d get the 5x points but forfeit the free gifts. It was annoying that I had to choose between the two because I felt like I spent quite a big sum of money and was not getting all that I could possibly get for it. In addition, the reason why I said the website and app are both frustrating to use is that when I tried to change the location, it was very glitchy and not easy to get that side bar to change the location of the store. In my opinion, the products offered and the service provided by ULTA is good and good value. However, the lack of user-friendly, smooth app/website experience makes it very frustrating to deal with. If you want to offer incentives and rewards for your shoppers, make sure you can follow through.

I like all products they have; however, if you order online and need to have someone help you, never expect them to help you :). I emailed them nobody answered; I chatted with three people connected to me and disconnected after each. I called them to help, and that person did nothing

I wish Ulta carried some more higher end products because I LOVE their rewards program. It's much better than their main competitors. But I can always get the basics here and a treat or two.

My recent experience at Ulta was unbelievable. I had a coupon for $10 off of a $50 purchase. These are called a Transaction Level coupon, you have to spend $XX to get the money off. The fine print on the face of the coupon reads this (in part) -"Transaction level coupons cannot be combined with other transaction level coupons except Birthday coupons and Ultamate Rewards Credit Card first purchase discount." I purchased approximately $300 worth of items and signed up for the Ultamate Rewards Credit Card which gave me 20% off my first purchase. The clerk would not honor the $10 off coupon. She said I couldn't use both. Rather than get in an argument in front of other customers I left and went home. I called Customer Service from home and the agent I spoke with told me I could not use the 20% off first purchase discount and the $10 off $50 coupon! I pointed out that the coupon specifically said I could. She would not budge. I asked to speak to a manager. The manager told me the same thing. I pointed out that the coupon expressly permits use of the coupon and the first purchase discount on the same purchase. The manager kept putting me on hold and then would come back and say no I could not use the coupon. She kept saying I couldn't use a 10% off coupon along with the 20% off first purchase discount. I kept correcting her that it was a $10 off coupon, NOT a 10% off coupon. I could not believe it. I wouldn't give up and she finally agreed to give me a $10 gift card to use on my next purchase. I wanted her to take $10 off my $300 purchase but she wouldn't do that. So now I have to go back and spend more money at the store to get my $10. So much effort wasted on this matter when it is specifically mentioned on the face of the coupon as being allowed. Not good!
