Went to the Spartanburg, SC store yesterday as I walked in was told to put a mask on in which I tried to show paperwork saying that for medical reasons I can't wear a mask, in which the lady said "No Mask, No Entry"! I will never go to an Ulta again and I have put it out there to everyone I know. Took my business to Sephora's. The lady there was super helpful and I got EVERYTHING I NEEDED over $200.00 worth!!! I'd give ULTA zero starts if there was a way!!!!!!

If I could give a zero star for online Ulta I would absolutely do so. I placed my order on the 10th of July, the order was said to be here on the 18th. Once I realized the 18th has passed and still no order was received I was confused so I checked online through Ulta to see where it could be. I only saw that it was shipped back to the sender. Now still with no clear idea where my money's worth of makeup was at I called their customer service for about a week straight. The people working are so kind but still have no clear answer to give and say that at this time I cannot cancel my order because of the postal delay. How much longer should I wait? At the same time I am a loyal customer to Ulta before the pandemic, I just thought I'd try their online store due to the pandemic. I am just frustrated with the lack of service they are able to give via online and over the phone. As in no emails pertaining to the fact that my order has not been delivered, in fact I received one stating that I could write reviews on the products I "received". I would recommend to anyone thinking placing an order online from Ulta to not do so, it is not worth your time or money. Try in store if they are open near your or maybe another makeup store online. Save your headaches for something else please!

Horrible customer service!! They couldn’t even add a free gift to my order after I shipped and made attempt. Just lame. Not buying from them after this last order. I suggest you order directly from the makeup brand of choice. Do not deal with Ulta.

If I could give a zero star I would. I ordered a hair straightener online that cost $541. It was supposedly delivered by LSO but item was never received. I have camera in front of my house so I would know if my package was delivered or not. I checked with my neighbors, called LSO (the shipping company multiple times). Even LSO said the delivery person parked in front of my neighbor's house...well IT WASN'T MY HOUSE and my neighbor said nothing was delivered. After hours on the phone and waiting for a supervisor and days of waiting and calling, they emailed back to say they would not reship or refund. LSO has horrible reviews online and I dont know why Ulta keep using them and somehow the customers end up not getting the item they paid for and nothing is done from the company to fix this. With the Covid pandemic, everything is transitioning to online and how can a company maintain online customer base if it can't guarantee the delivery of the purchase. Now I paid $541, wasted so much time and don't even have what I paid for.

Please save your money and spend it anywhere but online at Ulta. I spent over $400 on a package I never received. They will not issue a refund.

Ulta has horrible customer service. I've spent way to much money to be treated so poorly. I specifically placed an order that optimized my free gifts. All in all I was getting 10 free and 4 ulta gift sets at BOGO 50%. All too commonly this happens. The order is "lost" and guess what no free anything. And no ulta sets all gone. So with not one ounce of apology I was told what I would be receiving and what I wouldn't. With a gift card for the balance. Ummm no. Never an apology, they actually made me feel like I did something wrong. Seriously After all I am a Diamond member. Why would I make such an elaborate scheme? Either way I'm done with the rude no caring attitude. Ill NEVER give them a penny again. I ended up getting all my money refunded again with not one compassionate word. I work at a casino with over 5000 employees whom I regularly bragged about Ulta. Sent many their way. I can just as easily send them to Sephora.

On July 2, 2020 I had made an appointment, in person the Saturday preceding, for a 1 o'clock color, highlights, and cut with a stylist that, I will call by the first initial only as K. I was told that the total cost would be $185.00. I was on time and I was asked to please be patient as she was running 20 to 30 minutes late. I browsed the store with my mask on until she was ready. I was seated and the color was applied to my head as well as many foils for the highlighted area. I had said that my scalp was burning with no direct reply. The foils were removed after the normal time had passed. I had asked K to please be more gentle that she was hurting me, again with no reply as I sat there in near tears. I was then seated under the hair dryer. Once returning to her stylist's chair I was asked where do I part my hair. I said nowhere I just pull the front straight back with a headband. K went and made a side part, like hers and proceeded to cut into the left side of my hair which is the thinnest. I was watching my natural curls go almost straight and reminded her that my right side was heavier and it need more layers. She kept cutting the left side and I was in tears. I said "stop, you're done". I was handed a piece of paper, the bill, and I went to the front of the store and asked for the manager. A store manager came to talk to me and stated that she thought everything looked "fine". I then asked for the salon manager who was coming up front in several minutes. In the meantime I had stated that I was going to the outside of the glass door in the front of the store to see if any humidity would help get the curl to come back. The store manager said that I wasn't allowed to do this. I said "you can see me, I'm on the other side of the glass" and she said "no". I went outside anyway and when I went back inside there were two other associates that were called to the front to "surround" me securely. The salon manager was in the front by now and I returned immediately into the store. She held my hair up and said it was even, really not by a long shot. She asked if I wanted to tip my stylist and I said "no". The salon manager gave me the slip she was holding which had a total of $225.00. I told her that I was quoted $185.00 for all three services. She said that they never give estimates over the phone and I informed her that I had been in person when the quoted price was given to me. I was surrounded by the store manager, and two other store associates similar to a posse of guards. I was feeling trapped. I gave the salon manager my credit card and I was charged the $225.00 amount. I informed her that my intention was to call into my credit card company and dispute this charge. Additionally I informed her that I could go right next door to get a great $15.00 cut. I also stated that I would never be a customer of Ulta in Horsham Gate ever again. I was trapped, shaking, and extremely upset with the treatment I was subjected to. I had to sit in my car to calm down before I could drive safely. I did contact my credit card company and had them divide the $185.00 into 3 seperate groups so as to pay for the color and highlight, not the cut. I was acting as a rational fair customer. After realizing the position I was forcibly put into as a trapped victim I now believe that the entire bill should be credited. Why should I be fair when your company and it's representatives were not fair in their treatment to me. I expect a formal apology from Ulta for this traumatic treatment I was forced into as if I were a thief stealing from the store. I request that this review be sent to the CEO, or President, of Ulta as this is a serious matter.
