If only I could give zero star because Ulta beauty sucks big time!!!!!! I never ever in my life experience a messed up customer service and policy until my experience with Ulta. I don’t know why they still exist. 1) my package went missing and they can’t do anything about it. Like. WTH?! $30 wasted!!!!!!!! 2) I purchased stuff online to pick up at one of their stores. I went in to pick up like 5 days later and after I picked up, it just didn’t meet my expectation and I didn’t like it so I decided to just return the product (haven’t even used nor open it!) I just simply had a change of mind. So I went back to the store to return it on the same day (cause I live quite far from every Ulta stores so I don’t wanna go back another day). Guess what?! They. Don’t. Accept. Return. Before 24h after I picked it up. Seriously?!!???

I have bought tons of beauty products from ulta for so many years. I'll shop there 2-3 times a month because they carried some of the brands that I use.. and recently, since like 2 or 3 years ago I noticed that their service quality in store and call center are declining from bad to worse. Rude employee, manager didn't know what she should do with certain situations, they even bad at simple math (especially in getting customer a saving from coupons or reward points!) -returning products in store is always a hassle, products on shelves are very unorganized or just not well stocked, some are unsealed and you can see fingers print on them! When you need help, you can see they're running away from you. A lot even making faces like as if their life is so miserable working there.. why work then..just quit! Recently I made a few purchase on MAC products and was told that it will come with a free gift..NO GIFT when arrived and not even any samples to make up to it! And before that I made a complaint on the unavailability for my birthday's month free gift..I went to 3 stores and not one available..2 claimed that they are already gone! it was only the middle of the month! The customer service never gets back to me. Yes all the free birthday reward/gift are gone in Southern California!! How did that happen? Is Ulta being cheapskate for not providing enough stocks?? and I was informed that not all the store get them..!!? Just wow... Sounds almost like a scam company... It's simple, if you don't want to give any free gifts/samples/points then DON'T advertise it!

After reading other reviews, I see im not alone. I accidentally had my old address on an order, but realized it literally 1 minute after placing the order and called immediately. The first woman hung up on me, saying they would email me. The second man said they would request to cancel, i specifically said i didn't want to wait because i didn't want the package to ship. The man said if that happened, they would refund me. The email I got (the next day) said they shipped the order, they won't give me a refund and I could just send the box back to get a refund. I explained that I couldn't possibly send the box back because its someone else's house now, and that the man on the phone said I would get a refund. They didn't give a single crap, no refunds or cancelation even though i called RIGHT when it happened. This is absolutely insane. Are they serious? Probably going to shop at sephora from now on, at least they have never stolen money from me.

One of the worst customer services. I am a Dimond member and can't even do a simple task as order cancellation. There is no option on their website to do it. Customer service said it's impossible, even though I realized my mistake right away and emailed them 2 minutes after that happened. Since it was midnight, the call center wasn't working. I was able to talk to someone the next day and the person didn't even try to help, the answer was: it's impossible, we can't change the address and we can't cancel your order. And we won't give you a refund." The tone of his voice was obnoxious and he didn't care to help even the slightest. I won't recommend shopping at Ulta and if you do, try not making any mistakes since you won't get any help from their customer service. Buy the way, they used to be much nicer even less than a year ago. I don't know what happened. I guess quarantine brought out the worst in people and companies.

This company needs to work on customer service..: horrible horrible.:: will never buy again. Tried to cancel my online order I cannot do that because it’s still in the wearhouse... tried to get a tracking number../ sorry we cannot because it has not been shipped :/ total b.s buy from Sephora or amazon not here... I will never ever buy from Ulta again...

I purchased an order online on 9/16/20 when checking out i was given the option of eother free shipping delivery on Monday Sept 21 $9.95 shipping for delivery on Friday 9/18/20 or $16.95 and could have received today Thursday 9/17. I chose $9.95 to get delivery on Friday. Well it is not going to be delivered until Monday and when i inquired about this false information when checking out they said it 3 to 8 days for expedited! Shady company and my items will be returned when i get and I will go to Another store.

I was supposed to get a free gift with my $150 order, but didn't get it. I contacted Ulta online & they blame me for not getting the gift, & refused to make the issue right. Before I checked out, the page showed me what my gift was, but didn't give the option to add it to my cart. It didn't say I had to add it to my cart & didn't give me the option. The page showed me the gift I was receiving. It's not my fault, that the Ulta online page didn't work correctly or give me the option to add it. I received a picture of the gift included with my order. I've shop at Ulta for many years & never had this issue before. The online CS Rep & the supervisor don't value their customers. They should have made this right in some way. Send a substitute free gift, give a credit, or have me drive to an Ultra location so I may receive it. The only reason I ordered my products online & not at my store is because the IT cosmetics product I wanted was only available to purchase online. I asked them to please be honor what was promised, to make this right. The respectful & honest thing to do. The Customer shouldn't be responsible for Ulta's online system mistake! Ulta chose to screw the customer. I'm very dissatisfied with their service. It's sad that Ultra doesn't value their faithful customers enough to keep their business, when they were done wrong, at the fault of Ulta. Very unprofessional of them to not take responsibility for their mistske. I'm sad for myself & other customers that they have ripped off. I just want other people to know so the same thing doesn't happen to them. I will take my business elsewhere, where it is appreciated.

I tried ordering $100+ worth of products. Problems I ran into, and this is using two different browsers, using VPN and not using VPN, and two different types of credit cards, in their app and just trying to do an ordinary order on their website: - Could not enter a different address for billing and shipping; app kept pushing it back to the other one, no matter what I tried, like a tug of war - Order would go through after a struggle, then I’d get an alert that it went through, then an OOPS, "order could not be completed". Twice. This was visible on my bank statement. - I then called Customer Service where after I was on hold a little bit while the rep was checking my account, I was told I was entering the wrong credit card expiration date and wrong code, when I clearly wasn’t. I told them because of their buggy app and system, they were losing my business because my next step would be to order from Amazon, or some other beauty outlet. Response? "Thank you for calling Ulta Customer Service". - And today, I get an email from them saying "You’ve left some things in your bag..." You bet I have, and I’m not going to buy them from you. In fact, I have emptied the bag. And I have found elsewhere a product almost identical to what I was trying to order from Ulta, at half the price. Something Ulta doesn’t carry. And it works marvelously. - Bye bye, Ulta!
