Nearly anytime I enter Ulta in hopes to purchase specific beauty products, I find the shelves to be disappointingly empty. Stock is consistently low. You can ask them to check the back and they may locate your desired product. I’m mystified by why that stock can’t reach the floor. The checkout line is long and requires a wait. Not enough registers are manned. On the other hand....on the high end side....there are many employees stalking you. I was once asked if I needed help 4 times in 8 minutes. I finallly stated...I don’t need help now but how about you open a register when I check out?

I've shopped a5 ulta in st. augustine, fl. since it opened I've spent several hundred dollars there. I haven't been in over year, but went today for black friday. I was buying a $54 urban decay paler among other things to replace my old one. I picked up my pallet, put it in my shopping bag, provided at the entrance of the store, and continued shopping with my mother. About 5 minutes later the security device tied around it started beeping louder and louder started beeping, I wasn't even close to the door. everyone turned and stared at me, but no one came to help. o walked up to an employee who blew me off rudely, without hardly looking at me, and said take it up there pointing to the check out counter. I handed the pallette to the manager and went back to shopping. my mother and I were there for awhile looking at the black Friday sales, and doing our shopping. I was figuring out which items I wanted depending on brand so I picked up and put back several items when I realized the manager was following me aisle to aisle. I had pit back a tart foundation when she approached me and asked if I still wanted the tarte Foundation I said no I changed my mind I set it right there. I am severely offended and felt like setting down my bag and walking out with nothing I did nothing wrong and felt highly disrespected. ulta has just lost a lot of money from me.I plan to call corporate tomorrow. today had all new staff I've never been treated like this before and I'm highly upset

Love ulta bad had a bad experience at the Benton, Ar one today. Th cashier was very rude. I have been a platinum member for quite some time and had built up cash points of 12$ since I last redeemed... I went to check out and she wasn't friendly from the start then I told her I had cash reward and she said she added it but the total stayed the same, I said nothing changed and she was like well I added it and I was like okay well can you show me where the 12$ was deducted and she couldn't so she had to readjust not even apologizing for being rude. Also, I got an email that said I got something free with a purchase and she said they weren't doing that there. I was like oh okay landmark left it at that. Very bad experience from the blonde cashier Ulta Benton....

I've gone into ulta a couple of times, but staff if always rude towards me, and when I ask for help none of them want to help me so I've just stopped going there I occasionally order from ulta.com, but that's about it.

I have made a few purchases from ULTA online and not had an issue. But I visited the new store that just opened in Dublin, Ohio and was amazed at how little customer support they offer. Lots of employees milling around and not one of them so much as smiled at me or asked if they could help me find anything. I was there for 20 minutes looking a bit lost and never caught the attention of a single employee until I checked out. I saw people in front of me receiving free gifts and, in spite of spending over $100, no one mentioned a thing to me. Honestly, I felt like I was an uninvited guest at a private club. Definitely NOT a welcoming experience. I'm returning two of the four items I purchased and will not return.

I've always had my hair done by the same person, like seriously while she was on maternity leave I didn't get anything done because I simply don't trust other people with my hair. As much as I love her I won't be continuing to use her because she's now an ULTA Beauty employee. Not because her quality went down but because their charge for services is a load of bull. Every company knows in order to attract and retain good employees they have to offer a good wage and promotions which generally also come with raises. Well ULTA likes to promote their salon employees which is fantastic but it's at the consumer cost. Whenever your stylist gets a promotion you can count on your prices to go up too. Retaining good employees is the cost of doing business and comes out of the bottom line not the putting it all back on the consumer. So last week a service would cost X but she got promoted again this week, which good for her, but now she makes more money and ULTA doesn't want to fork out the extra dough so this week the price becomes X*1836n. Not because they're doing anything new or special or haven't learned a different skill they just are moved to the next pay scale and commission scale basically. You can't even budget or figure out your costs because one week it's X and next week it's Y.

I ordered a very expensive flat iron and when I received it it did not work. I called to see what I could do to get a replacement or a refund and the guy said it was out of stock so I could have a refund and they would send me a return label free. Awesome no problem. I sent it back and two weeks later I still had not heard anything. I checked the tracking number and found out it had been returned to ulta 3 days after I mailed it out. I Called back to check and see what the status was on my refund and the lady told me it wasn't there. Being as nice as I could be I said it arrive on so and so date at this time at this place. She told me again it wasn't there. I gave her the tracking number to prove to her I was right. After realizing I was right she said well it will take 30 days to get you a refund. Ok no! Why was I not informed of this the first time I called. When she realized I was getting pretty annoyed and mad she got someone to approve a faster refund 3-5 days instead of 30. I will never order from ulta online ever again! My flat iron didn't work and I was left in the dark about my order and they were rude both times I called but I did get what I wanted both times.

Love samples to check a product out. Never have containers to give anything. I think I'll be going to sephora.
