The only time plants would need to be returned is if you are canceling or returning an order within 30 days of delivery. For warranty claims, we simply require photos showing the condition of the plants. That said, both of your orders have already been refunded in full.

We understand your frustration and appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. This is not a delay tactic. The reason we begin processing claims in June is to allow plants adequate time to establish, especially since many arrive dormant or stressed from shipping. It is very common for plants that appear lifeless early on to push new growth weeks later once they adjust and receive proper water and care. We have many customers who are certain their plants are dead, only to see them come back with healthy growth given a little more time. This is why our policy requires plants to be in the ground through June 1st before final determination. If they are confirmed non-viable at that time, we issue a store credit to be used on a future order for the next growing season. That said, in your specific case, a full refund has already been issued. This process is clearly outlined in our terms and conditions and aligns with standard practices across the nursery industry. We are not delaying beyond any credit card dispute timelines, but rather following a process designed to give your plants the best chance to succeed.

We’re sorry to hear about your experience and understand your frustration. As you described, your original tree was covered under our free 1-year Plantsurance, and we issued store credit when it did not survive. That credit was then used toward a replacement tree. Because that second tree was purchased using Plantsurance credit rather than a new out-of-pocket purchase, it does not qualify for an additional claim. The Plantsurance program is intended as a one-time replacement, not an ongoing or unlimited guarantee. That said, we do value your business and the fact that you’ve given us another opportunity. In good faith, we would like to send you a replacement tree at no cost. Please reach out to our customer service team so we can get that arranged for you.

We’re sorry to hear about your concerns and understand how this can be frustrating. After reviewing your order, we do see that your trees were delivered within the last week. At this stage, what you’re describing is very common and is most likely transplant shock—not plant failure. During shipping and transplanting, it’s normal for trees to appear dried out, wilted, or even leafless as they redirect energy to root establishment. We recommend keeping the trees planted and continuing to water them consistently. Over the next few weeks, you should begin to see new buds and leaf growth as they acclimate. All of your plants are covered under our free 1-year Plantsurance guarantee. It is simply too early to determine failure at this stage. We ask that you allow time through the early growing season, and if by June they have not leafed out, please reach back out to us and we will be happy to issue store credit for anything that does not survive. We’re here to help and want to see your trees succeed.
