TruvagaReviews of truvaga.com

I bought a Truvaga 350 direct from truvaga.com in April 2024 (Order #23725, $291.30). I used it exactly as instructed for over two years and it genuinely helped me. Recently it stopped completing sessions — it powers on, but the battery can't hold enough charge to finish one. The screen still shows 32 sessions remaining, so I paid for sessions I never got to use. I filed a formal complaint. At their request I filmed the failure and sent the video. Their own QA team confirmed the battery won't hold a charge. Their answer: denied. They pointed to a 1.5-year battery service life in the manual and called the decision final — even after I escalated to a supervisor. All they offered was a 15% discount code toward buying another device. Buyers should know: the session counter on the screen means nothing once the battery dies, and when that happens you're on your own — even with unused sessions you paid for. For a $300 device I relied on for my health, I expected the company to stand behind it. They didn't.

I’ve had the Truvaga plus for under 2 years and it has stopped working. I talked to customer service and they told me that I would have to purchase a new one and that the battery is shot and there’s nothing to be done about it. You can’t replace the battery. I don’t think I would have purchased it if I knew it wasn’t going to last even 2 years!

Don't buy this. After having it for a year, they did a software update and don't know how to fix it. They won't send a replacement and instead have told me to "get an android phone" or "try using another email address". Really unhappy with the lack of professionalism of this company and actively looking for another product. Save your money and move on!

The device is ruined by the app. You can’t use the device without the app and the app rails constantly. Customer support doesn’t respond and you’re left with a brick. It will not work at all and there’s no recourse. Read the app reviews on the App Store. This is trash.

Nothing but a gimmick. Complete waste of $500! Just to clarify, placement and intensity aren’t the issue. My doctor is the Chief of Neurogastroenterology, and I’ve been using the device at the recommended placement and maximum intensity. I purchased Truvaga specifically hoping it would help with my visceral hypersensitivity, but I’ve had no noticeable benefit after 6 months of daily use.

I purchased a Truvaga device marketed as FSA/HSA eligible through your qualification partner, TrueMed. The promise: save 30% using pre-tax FSA dollars on health products I already buy. - The trap! I used my FSA. It was denied — my administrator is requiring substantiation through a medical provider. But TrueMed's entire model is supposed to provide that substantiation. A licensed clinician is meant to review a health intake and issue a Letter of Medical Necessity at checkout — the document that qualifies the purchase in the first place. If that step never happened, then "qualified customer" was a claim you didn't stand behind. If it did happen and my FSA still denied the charge, then TrueMed's own written guarantee applies: full reimbursement of what I should have saved when a purchase covered by their LMN is rejected. A device meant to calm my nervous system is doing the opposite. I spent $550 of my FSA on the strength of your eligibility claim. I expect you to either honor the guarantee or explain why the qualification you advertised never materialized. To others: "FSA eligible" is not the same as "your FSA will approve it." Confirm you actually received a Letter of Medical Necessity before you spend the money. That's where the trap is set. I contact both TruVaga and TruMed and the response was pretty "buyers beware!" Hard to trust this company and I let everyone know about my issue.

I was sent an opened used Truvaga vagus nerve stimulator by Truvaga.com. I paid £300 and ordered in good faith. I was excited to receive it. Now I feel I have been scammed. The customer service team has not replied to my messages.

Paying over $300 for a machine with a 4 minute per day and a 6 month automatic termination date was a terrible waste of time and effort, and stressful to get to the bottom of this. This was purchased to relieve stress but it actually amplified it. Trying to return it is a laborious process and expensive. Complete waste!
