I had a small account from my employer before they switched to Vanguard— it was under $100. This company charges $15 a quarter to ‘manage’ your account, meaning after another year and a half, I would have a zero balance. I attempted to close my account, except after their confiscatory fee structure, there would be no money left in the account. I strongly urge everyone to go with Vanguard or another less fee heavy company.

I had to make an emergency transaction. Other companies made it cumbersome, leaving me stuck with a robot that didn't understand what I was trying to accomplish. TRP allowed me to speak with a human, who addressed the situation quickly and in my favor. It made a difficult experience much easier.

I have been a T Rowe Price retiree since 2019 after 22 years and have never had a problem with getting paperwork for a monthly distribution from my company 401k until now. Customer service has drastically changed and not for the better. The last week of August I called for distribution paperwork for my end of September withdrawal. As of September 18 and three calls about it I still have not received which means I will not be able to make the changes I wanted and needed starting in September. A year ago I was made aware the company no longer used priority mail. No big deal. Requested paperwork in plenty of time to receive, complete and return to T Rowe. Was told it would take 7-10 days to receive by mail which was unusually long but accepted. Had not received by the 10 days and called the plan service center. They told me to give it a few more days. Waited and still no paperwork. Called again to see if paperwork could be sent priority considering the circumstances. Received excuses as to why I couldn’t. Asked to speak to a manager and they wouldn’t let me. The rep said she could talk to her “leadership” about it. After 45 minutes of frustration the rep told me her “leadership” person told her it would be sent priority with UPS and would take two days and no signature required. And again no receipt and UPS showed no record of receiving a request. Contacted T Rowe for tracking number only to find out it was not sent priority but regular mail. This was not relayed to me. They intentionally lied to me. Customer service asked if I wanted it sent to me in an email which I repeated several times I did not have a printer and if I could print it I wouldn’t be asking it to be mailed. She then made the comment she was sorry I had no family member who could print it for me or go to a library and print it. Are you serious? Spoke to a “leadership” person who did nothing for me and explained there was no way they could do priority mailing not even under these circumstances so I asked to talk to her manager. Well that was a worthless conversation. They only send paperwork through the mail or email. They have no backup plans for circumstances as such. They do no priority mailings. I said I could have driven there in 15-20 minutes and picked it up myself but they wouldn’t release it to me. They can email the forms but I can’t complete and return using email. I asked what if I do not receive after three mailings and nothing. Only an apology. So now I wait again 7-10 days and hope I get for my October distribution. I asked the manager if not received in 7-10 days again what am I supposed to do. At this point even if I want to roll it over to another company I can’t without the paperwork. So I have no access to change anything with my funds as of today, September 18 and the company doesn’t seem to care about it or my financial needs. A company who has and makes more than enough to use priority mail. They made it a point to tell me they complete thousand of mailings with no problems so I guess because they obviously have few issues those who do have a problem are out of luck.

I've read so many awful, terrible reviews I thought I would share my experience which was great. I recently tried to access a long forgotten account that hadn't been touched more than 15 years. all of the information I used to open the account was no longer correct. I didn't even remember ever having the email address that they kept sending confirmation codes to. Customer service held my hand and walked me through everything needed. this was a time consuming process. I wish I could remember the customer service rep's name. he was great. It wasn't just adequate, helpful service. It was the single best customer service i have ever experienced. I started the day with a plan to move my accounts to Schwab but that young men changed my mind.

Let down by the website. Tools just don't work, regular unexplained errors. Tried 8 different ways to make things work with no success over multiple weeks. Contacted customer support and they were completely unhelpful. What's the point of having a website if you can't use it and they just want to direct you to call support?

My company works with them for retirement support. Since I have retired their support has been very poor. I would call and get different answers for the same question. I finally decided to transfer all my funds out since I had lost total confidence in them. I finally thought I was done with them only to find out they did not transfer all my funds. I asked them to do whatever they needed so it would move all the funds. There is still $12.59 left. I called them again to send it to me and was told there would be a $25 fee. I told them never mind. Do not trust them!!!

I tried to resolve the issue through support and waited for a response, but I did not receive a satisfactory resolution before my account was removed.From my perspective, there were unresolved questions about my account review, and I was disappointed that the issue was not properly addressed. The overall experience has been frustrating. I hope the company improves its transparency, communication. I would suggest you runwhile you can, am now part of the winning team at # Success.ful, Habit LLC, they are simply the best right now.
