Program/Institution Accreditation
PhD-BA, if not accredited by AACSB or other B school accrediting agencies, is not that valuable globally. Especially, for students who work in the academia. Even if the teaching quality and experience are regular, on campus academic activities will add value to the PhD since 100% online PhDs are looked at skeptically in the academic world. TUI Trident University must gain and maintain national and international ranking and accreditation. My business school has AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA accreditation so they do not accept degrees from non accredited shools to teach with them master´s level and phd level courses. Sometimes it is difficult to understand and explain after spending 6 years and investing substantial amount of dollars on PhD and not being able to get recognition. I wish success for TUI Trident University, and suggest that TUI should invest a bit more on branding and prestigue.

Mohammad - Good afternoon! We have considered a number of specialty accreditations for our programs across the university including AACSB which is specific to business degree programs. Each specialty accreditation has its own standards, requirements, costs, and procedures for approval. While we will continue to consider specialty accreditation for our programs, at the current time we are focusing on meeting the standards and criteria of our regional accreditor - WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC). WSCUC has accredited institutions such as Stanford, Pepperdine, and several of the UC schools, among others.
