TRAVELOMILE is not to be trusted
This was very strange, a Travelomile agent reached out to me to provide seat assignments on an upcoming United Airlines flight from California to Germany and back. They gave me the impression they were United Airlines agents and were familiar with my entire flight itinerary. They started with a hard sell on upgraded seats for $500+ and another $250 to get my bags thru the layover to their final destination. I refused the $250 and they finally came clean that getting checked bags to their final destination was a free service. Since our trip included long duration flights I paid for the extra space but only half of the seat upgrades were provided. The upgrades provided were very limited extra space when provided. On the return flights no seat upgrades were provided nor was United aware of any upgrades. Due to the lack of upgrades, I had the flight attendant slam a drink cart into my leg since I hardly fit in the space provided as a tall person. Upon my return I tracked down the $500 upgrade to Travelomile. I have asked for a breakdown of my seat upgrades and have yet to receive them. They indicated a manager would call me back and they never did. I guess I need to stop payment to get this resolved. FOLLOW-UP After a series of phone calls, repeated delays in obtaining requested information and getting to a manager, I informed Travelomile that I was going to stop payment on my credit card and go to arbitration. A few more discussions and they refunded me for the services I did not receive.
