The reps I spoke with were very patient with me, I do appreciate that. However there was a lot of background noise and it was hard to understand what they were saying. More importantly I still don't understand why I could not book at the advertised price for my flights....and why I had to pay an additional fee of $85. I now realize it would have been better for me if I had forgotten about the credit and just purchased the tickets directly from United.

Given the situation of my wife breaking her arm at the end of our vacation and in tremendous pain, I was disappointed that I needed to pay additional money to change flights. I have been a united member for over 30 years and have a United credit card. I currently have over 650,000 miles. Just was disappointing after a very stressful day.

I spoke with Stella on the phone for about an hour. While she did ultimately make sure my flight was rebooked, she was very short, impatient and had to re-do the reservation twice due to her entering inaccurate information (birthdate and credit card numbers) this caused me to lose out on a direct flight and caused me to need to take a layover flight that was very rushed. I was not given the option to cancel my (very delayed) first leg of the flight. She told me I would need to call a separate number to do that. Stella also informed me that since I was changing my flight I would need to pay a $99 cancellation fee. I also was required to pay an additional $336 on top of the ticket I had already purchased, just to arrive to my destination. The flight Delta originally rebooked me to would have had me arrive after I was to depart on my international flight. Though my problem was ultimately solved as I was able to make my international flight, the extra fees, the impatient attitude and general unfriendliness left me to rethink booking on Delta due to the experience I had.
