About Traveler's Joy

We're a small group of folks that started Traveler's Joy on a stoop in Brooklyn, NY in 2004. However, it all really started in 2003 with the serendipitous meeting of our founders at the first overnight hut of the Milford Track in New Zealand. Taking the company from a muddy hike on the South Island to the world's most popular honeymoon registry in a few short years required a lot of work. Luckily we have the best team in the world! Traveler's Joy continues to grow into a new decade and we're all very excited at what the future will bring. If you have any questions, suggestions, comments, or quotes (or just want to say "Hi!"), always feel free to contact us! You are the lifeblood of our business and the keeper of our hearts.

Great site
This website was great and very easy to use. The only downside is the service fee, some of my guests were questioning why they would contribute to the site rather than just writing me a check when you can save that fee.

My husband and I used Traveler's Joy to register for our honeymoon. It was a great way to receive monetary gifts without actually asking for money. We received a lot of gifts and great feedback about the website. I would definitely recommend using this site if you're looking for a honeymoon registry!

Awesome idea
This is a great idea for this day and age. We were looks for currency gifts instead of house hold items we didn't need and this provided us with a great alternative.

Traveler's Joy was a wonderful way to allow our guests to contribute to our honeymoon.
It was easy to cash out the gifts we received. When I set up the Traveler'a Joy account, I didn't realize that there was a fee.

B & K, I'm so sorry you did not know there was a fee associated with gifts given via a credit card. We have tried to make the fee explanation as easy and visible as possible so I apologize that you still were not able to see it. We have it listed in our Common Questions section and within the first section of our Terms of Use that are required to be read when signing up with Traveler's Joy. Did you take advantage of our no fee option which allows gift givers to provide gifts to couples with cash or check which is 100% free?
