We filed our claim for a cancelled cruise to Alaska on Oceania on May 19 and still have not gotten our money back. Just talked to them again this morning and they said again that they have all our proper paperwork for our refund but it is still with the review department. It is now 4 months. He said again he would put a note on our file that we called.

I am joining the increasing numbers of customers reporting having a recent bad experience with this company after attempting to file claims regarding trip cancellation. I am going to contact the corporate office of Carnival to complain and suggest they discontinue promoting this company's product. I suggest others do the same since it appears all cruise lines endorse their insurance protection

I wish I could give this company zero stars. My husband and I paid for a cruise for 12 people and when we had to cancel due to Covid, Aon refused to issue the reimbursement checks to us, despite being provided with proof that we were the sole purchasers. They issued checks to our family members in other states that didn’t pay anything, some of which were minors as young as 2 years of age. I spoke with them several times and they assured me I would receive a form to complete to change the name on the checks, however I got nothing but emails stating they were unwilling to change the names. We are now stuck trying to get these checks signed and the money returned to us. Will never use them again and I wouldn’t encourage everyone to read this company’s reviews before doing business with them.

I bought Aon through Celebrity . On the flight, I got sick and was in severe pain. Ended up in hospital with surgery in another state after plane landed. I called immediately and had my cruise cancelled. I then asked for a claim the next day. You can’t file without a claim. Well it took a month for themTo send me a claim even though they sent me an email saying it would take 2 days. Filled out claim and waited . They stated it would take 21 business days. You can’t even call them. I called and called no “ answer” but it will take 21 days. I filed with BBB . The next day, I got a denial stating my cruise was never cancelled. I called and they said you must do an appeal. Cruises.com sent them the letter stating that I did indeed cancel my cruise. Filed with BBB again. Sent in claim and haven’t heard from them. Am in battle with Celebrity as they did cancel cruise and owe me taxes, port fees , excursion and a dinner. So they are supposed to give me 7 days credit. Meanwhile , Aon only shows online that my claim was denied . I have called and they only say “ send in letter and appeal”. They won’t tell you exact steps or when I will hear from them. Online they say 21 days. You call they say 21 days. This is all a scam. Please don’t use them. ALL of the cruise lines use them . They get a kick back. Please if you did , call BBB and state insurance regulation.

Like everyone else my experience is awful! Been over 3 months and still no reimbursement. I also get canned replies. DO NOT use this company if you can help it!

Looks like we are in the same boat as everyone else - we are 6 months after the initial claim and we still aren't close. If they run into a problem, they don't contact you.

I purchased Aon through Norwegian thinking, if needed, the process for reimbursement would be smoother and quicker using the company they promoted. Just one more thing about Norwegian I got wrong. Aon is SLOW and only responds with canned replies. If you but travel insurance for a Norwegian cruise, DO NOT waste your money on their insurance. Be smarter than me….read the reviews and find another alternative.

We got Covid on a cruise and had to quarantine for a full week in a hotel. We had bought travel insurance through our agent. It was AON. The process to file a claim could have been much easier. They make you figure out which parts of your claim fit which claim type. That is the hardest part. Once we had that figured out, I filed the claim online and submitted all the receipts. They had me submit the onboard medical bill to my health insurance. To my surprise my health insurance paid a little of it. In the end AON paid us what we were owed. It took over 2 months after filing the claim to get checks, but we did. What prevented this from being a 5-star review is how they make you figure out which buckets the claim goes into. They should be helpful with that. It is clear the intent is to make people give up and just eat the loss. That said I don’t plan to travel internationally again without insurance.
