I went onto ibis to book direct after putting in my details. the bank declined payments at 14.42pm--14.43pm--14.44pm getting quite concerned I asked my husband to look to see what the problem was, I had put in the wrong EXP date in, I corrected this after checking all details and by 14-46 pm and pressed pay. which was £63,90. However when I looked I had been charged £97.42 and it was to this company. I contacted Ibis regarding this and they are trying to tell me I must have gone onto this site to book I could not have done this in the time line the bank are saying these action were taken, I am a member of Ibis, and get dicount if you book direct, so How I got on this site is very very odd! so please be aware I have now tried to contact this company by phone, I get nothing, Emails sent to this company are not sending I am getting Failure Notice. The staff at Ibis have not been Helpful and 1 member of staffI had to say are you been just plane rude. I think it was the worst attitude I have ever encountered on a phone So please be careful with direct booking to hotels and this company Guestresivation

This is a slick scam
This is a slick scam. They intercept the hotel and then you are making a third party reservation and pre payment in full. Call the hotel instead. I fell for this twice and I am computer savvy and seasoned traveler. Very slick.

HUGE SCAM!!!!!
HUGE SCAM!!!!!. These people intercept legitimate hotel chain reservations sites and pretend they are the hotel. Once they convince you you booked directly with the property they hit you with a astronomical service fee which in some cases is the equivalent to an actual room night or more than the actual hotel rate. Avoid them at all cost s.

Same as every other person who fell…
Same as every other person who fell into this fraudulent trap. I'm on hold now while the agent Lium contacts her "hotel partner" (not the hotel I've reserved) to obtain consent for crediting the modification to my reservation following a call to the hotel to advise that I did not know I was contracting with someone other than them and that I thought I was booking direct. I will likely need to challenge this charge as fraudulent. At this point, I'd like to cancel the whole thing and book direct. DO NOT USE THEM!

SCAM COMPANY
The website looked like the hotel. Advertised at £121 for the night. I booked, then realised they charged me over £200. I called them and they said it was for taxes & fees. I wanted to cancel and they said that I could but would not get a refund.
They are a scam company. DO NOT USE THEM

Another similar story
Another similar story. I thought I was on the Holiday Inn website (IHG) and was mistakenly on the bogus website travel.guestreservations.com. They made the reservation through Priceline. The room rate was correct, but there were additional fees of $119 for so called tax recovery charges and service fees in the amount of $378. When you try to contact them at their 866 number, you get run around without the opportunity to speak with a live person. Refunds are not possible. A $500 mistake. DO NOT USE THEM!

A éviter absolument/ Avoid at any price
**Des arnaqueurs à fuir absolument !**
**Scammers – Avoid at All Costs!**
**Scammers – Avoid at All Costs!**
This platform deliberately makes you believe that you are booking directly with the hotel. When you search for a hotel on Google, it appears under the hotel's name, giving the impression that it is the hotel's official booking website. In reality, it is simply a third-party intermediary that often books your room through platforms such as Booking.com.
The most shocking part is the excessive overcharging.
In my case, for a hotel reservation in Vietnam, the breakdown was:
* **USD 193** for the room,
* **USD 81** in *Service Fees*,
* **USD 18** in *Tax Recovery Fees*,
* **USD 7** in *Resort Fees*.
That is a total of **USD 106 in additional charges**, representing **almost 55%** of the room price.
For comparison, Booking.com and Agoda typically charge hotels commissions of around **12% to 20%**. Those commissions are paid by the hotel and are not added to the customer's bill in this way.
Naturally, these excessive charges are not clearly disclosed when you believe you are making your reservation. You only discover the true amount you have been charged during the payment process or after receiving the confirmation email.
Another very telling practice: immediately after completing your booking, the website encourages you to leave a positive review on Trustpilot—before you have even had the chance to realize how much you have actually been overcharged.
In my opinion, these practices are highly deceptive. Websites that intentionally create confusion by appearing to be the hotel's official booking site should be sanctioned and should not be promoted in Google's search results.
**Avoid this company at all costs.**
