I am newly widowed and needed to find a meal service for one person. Tovala has been the perfect solution. The app is awesome to order from the menu and it lets you know when your food is done which is awesome. The food is fresh and delicious and so easy to prepare and clean up, I'm not sure if I'll ever cook any other way.

I enjoy the ease of the meals. The meals are great and enough food to fill me. The food is well planned. If there is any negative of the meal, vegetables are over cooked for my liking. String beans and Broccoli seems to be there go to. As much as I love them it gets boring.

The marketing got me hooked, a "free" oven if I order 6 weeks of meals. Since my old toaster oven was over 20 years old, I decided to upgrade. The meals are decent and extremely easy to put together, but there are limitations. When you have a hammer, everything looks like a nail, as they say. Not all dishes are suitable to be cooked by oven, but Tovala attempts to do this, scorching vegetables that are better cooked stovetop in a saute pan, or steamed. Portions are decent and cook times are mostly under 30 minutes. They do go the the excess extreme on cook times so I start the oven and put the food trays in a minute or two into the cooking time. Cost is a little high, so I've found myself skipping weeks unless I anticipate a busy week where easy meals make the most sense.

So I experienced a frustrating situation with a defective oven. The Tovala customer support team quickly made things right! First they offered some troubleshooting steps and when those did not work, they gladly issued me a replacement. Also, very friendly communication via email. Keep up the good work!
