Very poor delivery service and the inability to follow simple instructions

The food is only decent, but everything must be cooked in their specialty oven. The main issue I have with them. The delivery company. They can't follow simple instructions. Living in the south, the temperatures on my front porch can get into the hundreds quickly and they have a large delivery window. It's roughly 5 to 6 hours wide. My instructions were to simply ring the doorbell. Drop it off. Ring my doorbell so that my food doesn't sit in the hot temperatures for 4 to 5 hours. Tovala. didn't really seem to care too much about my concern, which was food safety. Raw protein, especially fish sitting in the hot sun for that length of time, can't be safe. And as a final thought, I canceled 6 days before the next order. But I still got charged for the next week's meal and they dropped it off, failed once again to ring my doorbell, and it sat in a hot sun for who knows how long.

To address some of your concerns: While it is recommended to cook Tovala Meals in the Tovala Smart Oven due to its multi-functionality, you can also cook Meals in your own convection oven. However, we do not have specific cooking instructions, nor can we guarantee dish results when prepared in a convection oven. If choosing your home convection oven, check to make sure your food has reached the safe internal temperatures required by the USDA and FDA by using a food thermometer. We apologize for the delivery service you experienced. We recommend reaching out to our customer service team at [email protected] to see if you live in an area where we can switch your delivery provider. If your delivery provider is currently FedEx, we recommend setting up a FedEx Delivery Manager account. This is a free service that will allow you to leave delivery instructions directly with your delivery driver and get tracking updates via text and/or email. You can sign up here: https://www.fedex.com/en-us/delivery-manager.html. This can help with all your future FedEx packages, not just Tovala deliveries. I like the food but...
I like the food, the delivery is reliable, the prices a bit high for me, I would like to see more of healthy veggies, like spinach, kale, beets,etc. Instead of so many green been. I had issues with the oven. The 1st one worked for a few months then it stopped scanning. I received another one very quickly, within just a few days, but the replacement stopped scanning on the second day (can't remember the date), besides loosing vapor from the door, and burns the food. I think that they must be refurbished, instead of new ovens. I notified the company twice, a few month ago, with no response.

If your current oven is facing the same issues, all we need is a quick video of you trying to use the scanner and any pics you have available of food you feel is overcooking. We'll also want to make sure your oven rack is installed in the correct position - (lowest position/slot with the curved edges facing down.) We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. By FAR the best meal service and I have tried many. The food is fresh and cooks extremely easy to a quality I could never reproduce. 10/10 best quality of life improvement for the cost you can do

The meals are delicious and easy to…
The meals are delicious and easy to make. Although it may seem expensive it costs less than buying all the ingredients at the store where you have left over items that go bad. Definitely costs less than eating out and is so convenient. The oven is also high quality and I’ve been able to get rid of my air fryer that was taking up space in my counter. I do love the scan feature which makes it so easy to cook the food. I highly recommend this.

Tovala is a unique meal delivery…
Tovala is a unique meal delivery service. The supplied oven is a gem for making meal preparation easy and accurate! The oven is also useful on the days I don't prepare Tovala meals. The food is absolutely delicious, and easy to prepare with fresh ingredients for main and side dishes. Sometimes I'm even able to make two meals out of one because portions are very generous! I've tried a couple of other meal delivery programs, but Tovala is far and above the best of the best!
