Heather Yunger didn't take a typical path into the culinary world, it came mostly out of a crazy (but effective) superstition. A superstition for her beloved Boston Bruins meant bringing her signature cookie, Black & Golds, for every home game.

I knew about Top Shelf Cookies from Farmers Markets. When I had a gift to send to a friend on the West Coast, I wanted to send something that was 1) delicious and 2) uniquely Boston. I immediately thought of Top Shelf. They absolutely loved their cookie box!

I ordered 4 different types of cookies. All were very dry and crumbly and had an odd taste. Lard/Crisco maybe?
Response from Top Shelf CookiesOct 12, 2023
Hi- We don’t use Crisco or Lard, the ingredients are listed on the packaging. But clearly you didn’t get the best quality and something went wrong. We will be in touch to figure out how to solve this.

Amazing as always!!! There are not enough good things that can be said about Top Shelf Cookies! Always fresh, always tasty, and always exactly the right thing to give as a gift (even if it's a gift to yourself). I have ordered Top Shelf Cookies many times in the past, as well as visiting the shop and grabbing a few stacks at farmer's markets, and I am excited to continue to do so many more times in the future. Everything is better with Top Shelf Cookies!

I await your cookies with high expectations and am never disappointed. Receiving them is fun; eating them is delicious. Sometimes I get a pleasant surprise. Chocolate is always welcome, but your novel recipes of other flavors too are delightful. Thank you.

I had my order shipped. The post office shoved the box in my mailbox; it was a very tight fit and crumpled the box. There was no indicator on the box that it came from a bakery & had no “fragile handle with care” on it. This may be helpful for future shipped orders. Of the four flavors I ordered, only one was chewy & fresh tasting (yum to the chocolate mint!) The other three flavors were hard but still tasted good. I would be hesitant to do a mail order in the future.

Joan, We are sorry to hear this - I will be in touch soon to make this right. It doesn't happen ofter, but when it does - it's not fun. I'll be in touch. Heather
