If there’s anything lower than 1 star, I’d rate that faster than a blink of the eyes! The company recruited “sister” companies mainly banks to have people persuading consumers to purchase insurance policy. When you did not reject them, they will lean onto you like a leech/parasite! Then they’ll make you fill up confusing forms and start charging you (auto monthly deduction from your bank account) despite the forms are incomplete and told them specifically to send you more details about the policy. Guess what? They didn’t bother! They started the so-call insurance policy (since the sister company has all your bank details) and deduct the money regardless you agree with it or if the forms are incomplete and NEVER send a copy regardless soft or hard copy of the paper they showed you. So you are kept in the dark (not even shadow). When you noticed the deduction and request the bank to immediately stop the auto payment, the bank somehow claimed you as the rightful owner of the bank account has NO RIGHT to stop the payment unless Tokio Marine stop it!! I had to hire lawyer to look into this sneaky disgusting cheating business! Now I’m in a long, sad, tiring and costly battle with them for what they did! So NEVER EVER get anything from this company! And always check your account cuz they have the right to start charging you without any legal documents and still claimed it’s your fault. Compensation? In your dreams..

The worst insurance I’ve ever had. The insurance plans don’t cover anything, they sent you mails/bills with the wrong information, every single health situation/issue is considered as a pre-existing condition. It doesn’t matter if you make a claim and appeal for it, they still don’t consider your case and they don’t change their mind. Additionally, they take more than 30 days in giving you an answer about your claims. It took me about 6-8 months to receive The explanation about the claims and appeals. This insurance company is very unfair, useless and untrustworthy. I don’t recommend this insurance.

We had the atlas plan for my wife and I while we were waiting for our visas. Total of $4,500 medical costs, and TOKIO MARINE HCC covered nothing!!! It's a total scam and waste of money, we paid a total of $330 per month from May 2020 till Dec 2020, so everything cost us about $6,900

Awful Service. They do not follow the policy bought, They just do not pay for any claim and play games. Scam!

I took your Atlas plan after i was told by the agent my visitors would be covered for covid. I expressed to them i did not care for price id rather the comfort of knowing we are safe. They compelled me to buy this plan because it was the cheapest available and that i would not have any regrets... I have so many now knowing how you would go about this. My relative submits their claim and gets it instantly denied without a second to breathe. They claim they do not have the capacity to cover that right now and they could not have told me that. But, they did so what do i do now. Its been 2 months and no updates we are holding a bill and getting no where. Absolute worst experience ever .

I took this Altas America plan for my in laws and they said it would be covered for covid. My wife’s dad got the virus and was not doing good. We took him to the hospital ad he had to be admitted and isolated. He had to stay for 15 days and needed a lot of medical attention. The whole ordeal was terrible and took a number on us. When it was over, we had to pay for everything on our own. I took it up with them and was told it was not covered that my claim was being denied. Why, because its caused by underlying preexisting conditions form previous visit. That was over 2 years ago that shouldn’t even be applicable. This was the worst experience ever and I’ve used them for a while never again I’m definitely looking for better options next visit.

I had used visitorscoverage.com website for buying insurance for my parents and in-laws over the past several years. This review is not directly intended for the website but for a plan they include in their list - Atlas America which is provided by Tokio Marine HCC. This plan is a hoax and should be immediately dropped from the website's list of suggested insurance providers. I had to take my mother-in-law for a doctor's visit since she got the flu. The doctor ordered some follow up visits and lab work just to ensure she did not have anything related to pre-existing conditions. All tests came out negative. Atlas America still continues to deny the claims citing pre-existing conditions. We sent them all lab reports, doctor's notes and followed up with a letter directly from the doctor (2 rounds of appeals). They continue to deny the claim. There is no way to be able to talk the person who is actually making this decision. I strongly hope that the licenses for this insurance company is immediately terminated by the state of Indiana so that others don't have to go through the same ordeal. I am going to report about this plan to BBB and am strongly considering taking them to small claims court.

THIS INSURANCE COMPANY IS A SCAM. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM. I dont understand why their website hasn't been taken down? They make it seem realistic in getting you to buy their insurance but once you do, you will never hear from them again.
