Tin Leg was excellent to deal with. I've purchased several policies through them but never had to claim before. This time, we had to cancel our entire trip due to an accident I had that left me in a neck brace. The claim experience was straightforward, and the customer service was very responsive over email. There was a fair amount of documentation required, both medical and regarding amounts paid/refunded, but it was all reasonable. They were reasonably flexible when I was unable to obtain the exact documentation they requested for one lodging reservation. (They need proof that you didn't get a refund, a fair request, but difficult to obtain from this vendor, but ended up accepting what I was able to provide even though it wasn't exactly what they requested.) I received payment for everything I had claimed about 2 weeks after I got them the final documentation. Overall, highly recommended!

Tin leg presents beautifully (oh, so nice!)but I filed a claim for a trip for which I bought “cancel for any reason insurance” for which they found a technicality and I received $0 zero dollars back. (I had to cancel the trip). The claims agent was defensive upfront and dragged me out for months. I would not recommend this company.

Easy to read the individual policies and I really like the comparison tool. Easy to purchase.

Very easy to use. I like the comparison of different policies feature. Very simple to pay for. Pricing was very reasonable. I will be using this service again.

Editing to add that despite their response, I have provided documentation, including flights and expenses, while also failing to receive claimed communications from them. The fact that they are out here publicly exposing people's claim info to defend themselves is quite telling. Read through the other reviews yourself, not just the ones who purchased coverage but who attempted to actually file for a claim and it's easy to see a pattern. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Tin Leg. The process to purchase insurance is quite smooth and easy, but the claims process is quite broken. We traveled in June, experienced a flight delay resulting in an additional overnight stay, and have not received any compensation despite filing and providing proof of the delay and associated costs. Communication has been extremely slow. They claimed they sent me messages that I have not received despite searching my inbox and spam. They requested a ridiculous amount of documentation paperwork beyond what's needed to actually document the claim and the costs. All to try to recover around $200. As a lawyer myself, I understand the need to follow policies and processes. However, the poor communications and what appears to be a denial first policy means I would not recommend or use this provider again.

Price and coverage options are very good, as are the reviews. I have used other insurance options before through the Forbes site. But Tin Leg continues to offer the best value.

I am a repeat policy holder. I have only had to file a very small claim one time but their customer service was wonderful. Website is user friendly and prices are fair.
