I made a mistake when filling out information for the insurance and was billed for two policies, I called customer services and the lady that corrected the problem was the most courteous and professional customer service person I have ever spoken with. She was a person that was easy to talk with.

Do NOT purchase travel insurance with this company. You will immediately be passed off to another company when you file a claim. I ended up with Robin Assist who dragged out my claim for months and months. They take at least a week and sometimes two or three to respond and just kept asking for more detailed information about my condo and activity purchases. I had to reach out to all and get them to email me very specific details about my purchase, cancellations ,and their cancellation policy. Some providers just didn’t respond. I had to submit my receipts and credit card statements. It was a lot of work only to hear from them 5 months later that the airline had to provide verification that weather prevented my flight for 48 hours. It was very difficult to get this kind of information from the airline. They finally responded that my flight was cancelled because of weather and operational logistics prevented me from scheduling another flight for 48 hours but that wasn’t good enough. They denied my claim because it had to be actual weather preventing my flight for 48 hours. It’s BEYOND me why they didn’t start there with me and instead put me on a wild goose chase tracking down every detail of my purchases and sending me letters each time leading me to believe that I just needed to submit one more thing and they’d have what they need, only to come back each time asking for more. I don’t know how these people sleep at night knowing all they do is add stress and misery to people who have already been through a horrible ordeal. Run away as fast as you can from this company!

To clarify the decision, Trip Cancellation coverage for weather requires a complete cessation of airline services for at least 48 hours specifically caused by weather. The documentation provided by American Airlines explicitly attributed the disruption to "operational constraints and limited flight availability" rather than weather. Under the policy terms, operational issues are handled as Trip Delay—a benefit that only applies if travel has already commenced. We understand this is disappointing news. If you can obtain a statement from the airline confirming that the 48-hour service suspension was due to weather, we would be happy to review this through a formal appeal.
