Hello Rachel. Thank you for taking the time to submit your review and for choosing us for your course. Just to clarify, the time required to complete the New York Pre Licensing course (5 hours) is set by the New York Department of Motor Vehicles.

Extensively informative, generously accommodates comprehension. I am greatly appreciative of the convenience this program affords me. However, there are major issues with lesson progression. Repeatedly had to wait through timers for sections (pages and videos) already completed.

Those timers are required by the state unfortunately, but they should not reset or make you redo pages once the timer expires and you move to the next page. The course was pretty interesting, but the cure for everything was to the claim we're acting like a child. Do you rush the intersection, you're a child, do you drive too fast, you're a child, do you blame others, you're a child. It's not an instructive approach: it hardly teaches, and it hardly motivates motivate. Better, perhaps, the course could acknowledge that there are reasons to rush, or to blame, then to present that we can only affect our part of the interaction.

We believe that the majority of people know the rules of the road and how to drive safely, but unfortunately choose not to for a variety of reasons. Our course attempts to dig into the life situations and attitude states that typically cause people to take risks on the road (speeding, unlawful turns, distracted driving, road rage, etc.). Your are correct that the child attitude state is one of the three attitude states described in the course. While there may seem to be valid reasons to drive unsafely or violate road rules, our course is designed to give people the perspective to be more aware of their mind set / attitude before getting behind the wheel so that they can make smarter and safer decisions to hopefully avoid tickets or crashes. You gotta keep on them when it comes to setting up appointments and you have to be super clear about taking a learner's permit test and not a lesson. Otherwise, not bad. The staff are super friendly and supportive.

Hello Amelia. I think you might have us confused with a driving school that uses our online TLSAE course in Florida. There are a number of driving schools that send their customers to our site to take the TLSAE (drug and alcohol) course online which is part of the requirements to get their permit / license. The driving schools are their own businesses and operate totally independent when it comes to the appointments, etc. for behind the wheel time, etc. I hope that you were happy with the online TLSAE course portion especially. The content of the program was excellent, however, at times it was impossible to get to a customer service representative. I literally called for hours before I got someone.
