Hello Krystal. Just to clarify for anyone that might read your review...The New York DMV built the online 5-hour pre-licensing courses so that the completion would be reported directly to the DMV and no certificate (MV-278) would be required for new drivers to keep track of. They did it that way to make it easier. Since the course completion is sent directly to the DMV, anyone that takes the pre-licensing course online (our course or any other site's) must schedule and take their driving test with the DMV and not a commercial driving school. If someone wants to take their driving test at a driving school, then must take the 5-hour course in person and not online.

As per the New York DMV regulations, when you successfully complete the 5-hour Pre-Licensing Course, your completion is electronically reported to the NY DMV system. Your record will be updated to show that you successfully completed the course so that you don't need to have any paper completion certificate to schedule or take your driving test with the DMV. This system was designed specifically by the DMV to avoid customers having to worry about losing or forgetting their course certificates at their driving test appointments. So it is not that can't or aren't willing to give you a certificate. It is that the NY DMV system is completely electronic so providing a certificate is not technically possible. Any reference that you might see that says anything about a paper completion certificate for this course applies only to those that took the course in a live classroom format. I am sorry that you were unhappy with your course experience. The course is designed with the page timers as required by the New York DMV based on the average person's reading speed and the type of material being shown (video, charts, animations, pics, etc.). It is the state rules that ultimately determine what the page timer lengths must be. The timers are also how the state ensures that the course meets the required 5 hours. If you are a faster reader I understand how that can be a bit frustrating. If the course took you to the menu instead of the next page after waiting out a timer that is not correct function and if you contact us after we can check and assist. I am glad to see that you successfully completed the course and were reported to the DMV so you can schedule your driving test.

Hello Nola. I am sorry that you were not happy with our course. Keep in mind that much of the material in the course is reviewed and required by the New York DMV to be approved. I have sent your comment to our course authors and state agency compliance group to make sure that our marijuana information is current and they will correct anything that is needed. With regard to the Attitude state information that you were not a fan of...our company has years of research data that supports the effectiveness of our course curriculums. We believe strongly that most people know what they should or shouldn't be doing behind the wheel but choose not to follow those at times, risking their safety for reasons that we try to address with the attitude state information. Thanks again for taking the time to submit your review. We appreciate hearing our customers perspective on the value of the course, but I will also say that your comments about idiocy and senile are unnecessary.

Hello Laure. As we mentioned when we replied to your email on Saturday, the system attempts to report every user to the New York DMV system after they complete the course. Normally that occurs without issue. In your case, because your learners permit expired before you completed the course, the DMV system rejected your completion. We will be contacting the DMV on Monday when their office reopens, since you completed on a weekend to find out whether the completion can still be added to your record or not. I am sorry about this, but whether the DMV accepts your completion is not something we control. Update:4-24-23: Thank you for contacting us back and letting us know that you made a mistake in entering your expiration date. We updated your expiration and your completion was reported successfully to the DMV. You are good to schedule your driving test now.

Hello Nancy. I think you have our company confused with the driver education school you chose for your son's behind the wheel training. We do not offer behind the wheel training in Florida. We only offer the TLSAE course in Florida, which is the 4 hour drug and alcohol course that is required to get your first permit or license. There are a number of driving schools that send their customers to our website for the online TLSAE course portion of their driver education in Florida and then the driving school handles the rest of the driver ed class and behind the wheel training. I am sorry to hear that you had such a poor experience with the driving school, but I think you will find that it was not TicketSchool.com that charged you or that you had such issues with.
