I LOVEDDDD the clothes

I LOVEDDDD the clothes! Truly amazing products. However, the duty charges were astronomical!!!!! (I know this is listed on your website and that the buyer takes responsibility) I ordered from Canada and I was charged CAD278.00bin duties and taxes for my items. The duties were not charged upon delivery nor was I made aware of the cost of the duties and taxes. My bill from FedEx came a month later.... At this time it was too late to return the items because I already enjoyed most of them as well as the return policy had expired. As much as I absolutely adore my items from your shop, I paid almost double the amount of my total order once the duties and taxes were charged. This forced me to scrounge up another almost $300.... Not easily done sometimes. I wouldn't of accepted the items had I known unfortunately. As an international customer, it really saddens me that I cannot afford to shop at your boutique because I truly love the products!

Hey Alyshia! I know you said you are aware of this because you mentioned you saw it on our site. However, I just wanted to explain in greater detail. We are happy to clarify why you received additional charges from the carrier. During our checkout process, we do not charge for taxes/duties currently, those are incurred at the time the package reaches customs. We are not in control of any country-specific tariffs and duties imposed on your order by your respective government as they are paid to them, not to us. If you used a promotion code on your order, you will be charged taxes and duties based on the original price. We are legally obligated by Border Agencies to show the original price of any items purchased. You can view our policies HERE. We understand that they can be costly and we have no access as to what your local government will charge once it is delivered. Before checking out, we always recommend using a duties calculator for the closest estimation of what those may end up being to decide if you would like to purchase. In the very near future we will be having some very exciting changes made for our Canadian customers. I can not go into detail about this , but please stay tuned.
